Clear gold in appearance. Aromas are sweet and malty with some apricot. Flavours are mild lemon, more apricot and butter. Quite weak and merely OK.

Cask by handpump at Henglers Circus, Glasgow (18 May 12) - clear pale yellow ale, thin white head, mild floral hop aroma, good temperature, lemon, initial bitterness that quickly disappears

On cask at white star, stoke. Pours pale golden with a white head. It has the look of a summer citrus hop fest. It’s actually very malty and is a pleasant surprise.

Golden colour. Yeasty and plainly dry taste in my opinion. Not for the hardcore real ale drinker.

Pint in Old Kings Head, Borough. 2009 - from notes. Golden colour, thin white head. Nose is bit of citrous, spice, fruity hops. Taste is malty, spciy, bit of citrous. Hop dry on the finish.

Cask. The Rutland & Derby, Leicester. In fine nick this. Thin white head, pale gold body. Not too much on the aroma front, with a whiff of sulphur, metal, fruity. Bitter with a dry finish. Average but I’m sure it’d do the job as a summer thirst quencher!

[3150-20100723] Cask. Not much aroma, a hint of citrus. Slightly hazy, light orange brown body with a big quick foamy white head and light lacing. Mild orange lemon pith flavour has a long light bitter aftertaste. Medium body is slightly bitter. Great mild bitter has a "hint of sweetness within".

[cask at the Standing Order, Edinburgh] Pale lager-style beer with not much going for it looks-wise. On the aroma some malt and a little faint hop. The taste, however, is a different matter. The tang of the German hops give it a really moreish taste, very decent balance of citrus hop and spiciness from the Saaz. For an unknown quantity it was above average [10042008]
