Cask at the Peacock, Nottingham. This uninspiring straw-coloured beer has a lightly lemony aroma and a subtle flavour of lemon and biscuit malt. All in all, it’s really quite bland and I doubt it actually appeals much to the keg lager drinker Everards are hoping to attract.

May 12, 2008 Cask at Spaniards Inn, Hampstead Heath 26 Apr 08. Pale golden colored. A filmy head. Modest aroma of cardboard. Dry cardboardish flavor. No bitterness. Disappointing.
