COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Status uncertain.
Terra Firma is our first organic ale and is brewed using Crystal malt and Goldings hops as the principle ingredients. The result is a dark, amber ale with ruby tones. The flavour has a subtle roasted character with distinctive toffee notes which are balanced by a positive, fresh, floral bitterness.

Cask at JDW The Penny Black, Bicester, Oxon 04-11-07 Mid amber in colour with a bubbly white head, lacking in aroma. Unexciting bit wishy washy and watery for its abv some bitterness and a sugary finish.

Tasted this in the Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) in November 2007. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear orange amber in colour with a thin white head. Strong aroma of caramel, long in the nose. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt complex gives strong digestive biscuit with soft toffee and satsuma fruit notes. Strong hop resins gives wet leaf mould to the brief aftertaste. Finish is malty with sweet orange present. A decent session bitter.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Spoons Winter Fest. Astonishingly sweet toffee and cream followed by unsubtle red fruit, particularly strawberry. One of the most unusual and sweet bitters I’ve ever tasted. Possibly a brewing fault. Who cares? Tastes amazing!

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Hazed amber with no head, very cold. Maybe this Spoons is playing a game with its old pump clips, this was ok, some bitterness some distracting caramel but otherwise dull.

Cask @ The Pommeler’sRest, JDW, Soutwark. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Sweet fruity malty aroma with hints of caramel and hops. Sweet malty caramel flavor with some fruity hints. Has a malty bitter hoppy finish.

A Mes rate: Cask at Baker Street ’Sporks.
Bright amber with no head. Aroma of straw, tobacco and hops with a little sweet malt. Wheaty, yeasty flavour wiith some bready notes. Slightly earthy too, hence the name? Lightly hoppy on the finish with grows nicely as it lingers.

Counting house at wetherspoon beer fest. Aroma has quite a bit of buttery corn syrup dycetl, with grassy hop. Taste is like corn flakes with grainy malts, and quite sweet. Noit well balanced or that tasty in any way.

Cask at the William Morris (JDW), Hammersmith. Amber with a cream head; fruity malt aroma; unusual pineapple fruity sweet flavours; short hop burst then a sweet finish. Different.

Cask (handpump), Sir John Oldcastle (JDW), Farringdon. Amber colour. Loose white head. Very restrained aroma. Couldn’t really pick out anything in particular. Dry malt and earthy hop on the palate. Very dry, but not especially bitter. Clean mouthfeel. Respectable enough but pretty straightforward and a tad dull.
