Best Bitter
A true best bitter with plenty of body and flavour. An ale which has almost universal appeal due to the exceptionally fine balance of English malt and hops. The finish is long, dry and extremely satisfying.

Draught at John Scott’s Pub, Göteborg. On September 21, 2012.
Sold as "Everards English Ale" (Best Bitter), I didn’t see an ABV anywhere.
Seen others rate that name of beer from the same pub as me under this ratebeer entry, so here goes.
Clear copper to light brown color; nice, thick, dense, lasting, off-white head. Malty, sweet, some light caramel, hints of roasted malt taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium to medium high dry herbal bitterness. Malty, sweet, fruity scent.

A pleasing bitter, with a nice flavour to it. Not much of a head. General clean bitter flavour but not much else.

Dark golden with no head. It’s not a million miles away from the Beacon brand, although this has less character to it. Relatively smooth with a sweet aroma and taste.

Thought I got a meaty whiff when opened, this poured an easy one inch head. Utlra intense beading which is unusual for a British bottled beer. Slightly brownish orange to the eye. Nice body. Disappointing to taste, it is short and thin with some mildish hopiness at the end but pretty one dimensionsal. Little activity or development. a little too carboic too. Pretty neutral on the feel until the very very end when the hops offer a rescue package but by then the damage is done. A real looker. Shame this gal won’t put out.

Thanks Gabriel! Pours a clear reddish brown with light tan head. Mild caramel, wet cardboard, some chocolate, mild fruit. Taste follows smell cardboard in the middle and chocolate and nice dryness on the end. Light/medium body with some slickness to it. Mild carbonation. Not lovin’ it.

Draught at John Scott´s Pub, Gothenburg. Golcen beer with a offwhite head. A bit fruity and grassy aroma with maybe some perfume notes. Hoppy flavour with some raisin notes. A boring beer.

Not sure this is the right beer, label said Everards Best Bitter. Draught at John Scotts Pub. Golden beer with a small but lasting offwhite head. Hoppy aroma, grassy, bready and with some spices. Hoppy flavor, spicy, some butter, some bread.
