Creamy pour, medium head, not much of an aroma. The taste is primarily hops. An alright beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask @ White Star, Stoke. Appearance is dark-ish gold, not quite copper. Fresh orange peel and freshly cut wood in the nose. Taste: yum. Deep, malty, herby, moderately sweet. A very decent ale when served well, but its relative ubiquity means it is often sampled in substandard condition. Have it in a proper real ale pub!

Cask at The Church Inn, Birmingham. A proper taste of home. Havenít had this in years. Good head on this. Smells sweet and like caramel. Taste brings it all back slight toffee malt with a short finish. Itís really not that bad.

Hand-pulled pint at The Shakespeare, Coalport on the river Severn on 24 Aug 2013.
Good amber/auburn coloured body, clear. The head white and full, showed some good lacing.
Malted biscuity aroma, hints of toffee and caramel if you sniff long and hard enough, no hop content nose wise.
Semi-sweet taste, as the smell suggested, the maltiness winning out over anything else. A hop bitterness does appear as the mouth dries.
I think I enjoyed the slightly stronger bottled version.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
August 25, 2013 - hand-pull cask at The George (Borough High Street). Clear amber with a small but lasting foamy/creamy beige head. Dry and light wheat/grain aroma, light tree fruit and florally bitter. Taste follows, very soft and gluteny, light floral bitterness, not all that sweet and very light alcohol presence. Soft mouthfeel for sure, airy without much carbonation, very quick and clean finishing. Very nice simple standard bitter.

Cask at the Peacock, somewhere in the countryside. I feel lucky. Through one little tweet much good has come. Nice beer, great company, children playing, mediocre food and bloody cold. Iím smiling. This oneís for Danny, cheers!
