Oct 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear, dark golden beer with a decent beige head. Some lacings too. Roasted, fruity nose with some caramel sweetness. Full-bodied, with flavors of roasted malt and some caramel sweetness. Pleasant hops giving fruity flavors and a little bitterness. Sweet, roasted finish with some bitterness. As it warms up, it gets some strange malty flavors, so it is best enjoyed quite cold. (081018)

Oct 11, 2008 500 ml bottle. Huge, mostly lasting, lightly tanned head. Brilliant, amber colored body. Toasted malt aroma, caramel notes with a whiff of slight peppery hops. Semidry, nutty malt flavor. A little fruitiness, and a straighforward, earthy bitterness. Healthy body. Light sourish, malty-bitter finish. Moreish.
