Cask - included in 2011 JDW Autumn Festival.
Whakatu is Everards new beer for 2011. Brewed using Nelson Sauvin Hops this light golden ale has a crisp, dry bitter taste. The name ’Whakatu’ derives from the Maori name for ’Nelson’ where the Nelson Sauvin hops originate. With hints of grapefruit and kiwi, Whakatu is a delightful zest of crisp fruit flavours. (Also has Challenger hops)

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Gold with a small white head. Faint hoppy aroma took a long time to develop. Fresh fruity taste, a trace of biscuit, and some sharp bitterness to follow. I liked this.
