2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. Muddy copper pour with a thin off white head. Solid pine and light citrus in the nose. Straight caramel and pine flavor wise with a slightly unbalanced bitterness. Very weak compared to it’s peers.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Slightly hazed amber appearance with an average size, off white head and modest lacing. Caramel malts crowd out the citrus in the aroma. Sharp, bitter, tinny flavor that mellows somewhat in the aftertaste. There is a bit of disparity within the 6pk, from appearance to finish. so the descriptors will vary and are listed as an approximation. Really Jekyll/Hyde-ish.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz. bottle. Brewed by Thomas Hooker, whats up with that? oh well. Small white head thats lasting with a nice spotty lace. Clear, amber appearence. Nose is minerally/metallic. Body is medium, decent carbonation, metallic. Flavor about like the aroma with some faint citrusy notes and thin caramel malts, hint buttery also. Dry finish, tame bite. meh. Bottle from statelineliquors.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
pours an orangish copper with a minimal white head. This beer is lightly hoppy with a citrus peel taste, it has a mid range bitterness to it with a mild malty taste, a strong grapefruit flavor is also here.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Mild hop aroma, a lot more caramel notes then a usual IPA. Pours a clear light amber, with a full white head. Mild citrus hop presence, with a long lingering bitter finish. Not much going on with this beer, pretty middle of the road.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Date tasted: July 13, 2013 at Bea McNally’s in Hackettstown, NJ... Glassware: pint... Occasion: celebrating a good round (aesthetics more than scores) of golf with bro Jer and Matt....Appearance: dark amber body; slow/low effervescence; thick white head that holds a finger solidly... Aroma: bright, sprucey hops; a backbone of mellow malts keeps the profile a bit unbalanced... Palate: full-bodied, effectively working the whole mouth--a good prelude for a spicy nacho appetizer...Taste: malts are in full effect, belying the IPA style this purports to be--almost an ESB underlying its hoppy flash; the pale hops build their intensity as the glass drain... Overall: aside from Matt’s sarcasm concerning the language of the beer rating world--or just me--the drinking experience was a smooth, fitting finish to a good day of golfing, with a solid strength; not so EVIL as it is EVOLVED, a pleasantly drinkable beer that subtly pushes its 6%ABV...only reservation is that it doesn’t consistently present as an India pale ale....

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy dark golden amber with a light rim head, a few dots of lace. Taste is sweet caramel malt with crisp hops joining in midway through the palate. Both sides share a lingering finish. Very well balanced (probably not for hopheads or for malties), extremely easy going down, yet full of both sweet and bitter. Highly recommended.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
THOUGHTS: Pungent at first, then weak. A little more earthy than what I’d expect for a West Coast IPA. Nice with great balance, but nothing unique.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, light to medium, orangey amber with an average, slightly off-white head that mostly diminished lasted and left excellent lacing. The aroma had light caramel; heavy pine, spruce, minty and earthy hops; and moderate grapefruit and orange hops. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and mod bitter; while the finish was slightly sweet and sour, moderately bitter and lightly acidic with an average duration. There was citrus, pin, spruce, citrus rind, and earthy hops, pale malt and caramel. The light to medium body was a little oily and then dry with very fizzy carbonation and a lightly dry finish.
