A limited single batch release. Our first Imperial IPA blends together the sweet and juicy Amarillo and Citra, with the delicious pine notes of Simcoe, a combination of the three most sought after hop varieties.

Bottle born on 2014-02-06. Nose is still freshly hoppy and pretty strongly dry-hopped, very piny with light paper, more lemon and, orange peel, generally very good citrus with doughier caramel, though a little dulled. Pours golden leaning to orange with a rocky beige head. Taste is dry with lots of dough and caramel, some booze sting but no burn, juicy hops also lend a degree of sweetness unrelated to sugar. Wood, yes, but less spicy or decidedly ’piny’ as anticipated, aftertaste carries through medium bitterness and there’s a bit of revitalizing vitality in the hops that is unfortunately strangled by the weight of the overall recipe. A very heavy full body, hard to drink in quantity, and resin and gunk around the teeth. Aftertaste really salty and unpleasant!

12oz bottle. Don’t remember the the particulars because this one went down way too fast. Goes down real easy. Tastes delicious. Great IPA.

Draft @ Sunset Grill & Tap. Clear orange color thin head eggshell white head. Aroma is citrus before some light pine. Body has a strong malt backbone with supporting grain. The hops are bright with the same showing as the nose, citrus followed by pine. The bitterness lingers only slightly and fades away. What I like most is how well the ABV is hidden, drinks like a 5.5 % brew. Pretty nice job on this one!

Sampled at AC Beerfest (2014). Poured a hazy dark golden color with a small foamy off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus, and grapefruit skins. Taste of old citrus skin, peaches, grapefruit, caramel malt, and pine.

Pours a clear copper color with a thin white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, and grass. Pine flavor dominates with passion citrus, grass, and a sharp hop bite at the end. Nice beer.

Large, rocky, off white head that lasts, thin lace. Lightly hazy, copper hued brew. Weird nose, metallic and earthy, some kinda spicy note. Prickly carbonation, somewhat astringent, med/full bodied.Strange caramel malt flavors, not finding the hops here just this astringent metallic notes. Dry, too long finish. ERF. bottle from stateliquors. WTF was that!?

Pours a hazy amber orange with a small white head. Smells of spruce, hint of citrus, bread. Taste is bitter and moderately sweet - spruce hops, hint of lemon, a light cut of sweet malt.
