3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured opaque gold with a thin, bubbly head. Floral aroma; not as pronounced as you would expect from an imperial. Taste is lemon rind and grass. Dry finish. Decent.

1.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Smell like mild hop perfume from a tap. Flavor starts out acceptable then it builds into a rubbery bitter blast after a minute. Yes, a terribly on style powerful over the top mouth coating finish. Tho not as thick as an ipa with this hop power normally would, it carries itself well. On tap at the bocktown. A palate wreckin’ roto-tiller.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On draft and no love for this one around here? Dug it. Heck w you all. Learn to rate. Aroma of intense citrus rinds and some resinous pine. Flavor followed w intense bitter hops, pepper, evergreens of all sorts, and grapefruit rinds. Mouthfeel far from malty, maybe a touch slick but dry and firm. Appearance was orange and clear with generous white head although retention was weak. A pretty darned drinkable and hop emphasized dIPA, nicely avoided sticky malt bomb bitter alcopop. Good stuff. You all should indeed learn to rate. Just sayin.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle born on 2014-02-06. Nose is still freshly hoppy and pretty strongly dry-hopped, very piny with light paper, more lemon and, orange peel, generally very good citrus with doughier caramel, though a little dulled. Pours golden leaning to orange with a rocky beige head. Taste is dry with lots of dough and caramel, some booze sting but no burn, juicy hops also lend a degree of sweetness unrelated to sugar. Wood, yes, but less spicy or decidedly ’piny’ as anticipated, aftertaste carries through medium bitterness and there’s a bit of revitalizing vitality in the hops that is unfortunately strangled by the weight of the overall recipe. A very heavy full body, hard to drink in quantity, and resin and gunk around the teeth. Aftertaste really salty and unpleasant!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft @ Sunset Grill & Tap. Clear orange color thin head eggshell white head. Aroma is citrus before some light pine. Body has a strong malt backbone with supporting grain. The hops are bright with the same showing as the nose, citrus followed by pine. The bitterness lingers only slightly and fades away. What I like most is how well the ABV is hidden, drinks like a 5.5 % brew. Pretty nice job on this one!
