3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
THOUGHTS: Decent chocolate stout but nothing all that special.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark brown that was basically opaque black in the glass with a large, tan head that mostly diminished and left good lacing. The aroma had heavy roasted malt and dark chocolate; moderate coffee; and hints of licorice. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and moderately bitter; while the finish was moderately sweet and bitter. There was chocolate, roasted malt, hints of licorice and light coffee. The medium body was creamy with fizzy carbonation and a metallic finish.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body under a small fizzy light brown head that faded to a wispy film. The nose very chocolaty and rich with lots of sweet milk chocolate. Smells like a candy bar in a glass. The flavor is a bit thin in the malt department, but the chocolate is really nice. It’s not super sticky and sweet, but like liquid chocolate. Finishes with some long lingering chocolate and a bit of caramel. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty decent beer, I like the heavy chocolate flavor while not being sickeningly sweet.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle from Crossroads Spirits. Pours a thin black color with a small foamy light tan head. Aroma of faint roasted malt, and some chocolate. Not getting much else. Taste of pronounced artificial chocolate, dark roasted malt, a hint of vanilla, and an aftertaste of sour bitter coffee. One of the better beers I've had from this brewery, but still average at best.

Dark with a medium sized tan head. Roasted malt and cocoa, lightly sweet, not bad but not particularly a standout stout.
