Dark brown body with some chestnut hints, thin light tan head, spotty lacing. Roast, bittersweet chocolate, light pumpkin and nutmeg. Didn’t fully come together for me. Medium to full bodied, semi-sweet throughout, mellow carbonation, muddled finish.

Transfer from BA review on 9-3-12- Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass Appearance – Served a deep brown color with a tiny tan head. The head faded relatively fast to give a good level of lacing. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a sweeter chocolate and roasted malt. There is a very light pumpkin and spice aroma as well. Taste – The taste begins with nice notes of a sweeter chocolate flavor and some light roasted malt. As the taste advances the sweeter flavors fade and give way to some or roasty flavors with hints of pumpkin mixed within. There are some very light pumpkin pie spice flavors, although these are very difficult to detect over the roasty and chocolate backbone of the beer. In the end the pumpkin grows a bit with some of the sweetness coming back to the tongue and leaving a sweeter roasty flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body is on the average side in terms of its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average as well. Overall – It does have a nice easy drinking chocolate and roasted malt taste, although I find the pumpkin flavors a little lacking. While the pumpkin flavor is on the lower side it is a rather tasty beer none the less, and is one to try.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized brown head left decent lacing. The aroma was dry with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, malt and cola. The flavor was dryish, malty, toasty and bready with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, cola, chocolate and pumpkin. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours turbid dark blackish brown with off0white head. Nose is complex: a nice medley of roasty dark malt, brown sugar, cacao, nuts, mild pumpkin. Tastes roasty, malty, with notes of cacao, ovaltine, hazelnut, and well integrated pumpkin. This one is very good.

12 oz. bottle at The Pour House in Mountainhome, PA. Pours black with a moderate tan head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Surprisingly mild aroma of cocoa and not much else. The flavor is very much focused on the cocoa with very little influence from the pumpkin. This drinks much more like a dessert beer. Medium bodied.

Drank a pint at Tony’s Bar and Grill in Ivyland. Has a nice chocolate aroma with hints of fruit, like pumpkin and apple. Taste is sweet, as what can be expected from a beer named "Trick or Treat". Overall, a very nice surprise. Reminds me of a chocolate covered apple.
