Draft at Alla Spina. Pours a hazy orange with thin, quickly diminishing head. Aroma of citrus, brett, grain. Medium-light body. Taste is citrus, brett funk, cheese, oats and a lingering grainy/bready finish. Not bad but not to the same quality of Crooked Stave brews

Bright, citric, refreshing with hearty Brett on the back end. Badass aroma. Good amount of carb yet not overbearing. Solid.

Bottle: The aroma consists of apple, brett, floral notes, lemon peel, and a hint of pepper. It pours slightly hazy golden-orange with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin ring. The flavor starts with apple and a touch of citrus. The finish has brett, funk, floral notes, and light lemon peel. It’s light bodied with moderate carbonation.

Shared bomber poured to snifters, showing a hazed, orangey gold color, with a modest, diminishing layer of bubbly, soft white head foam, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was immediately yeasty funk, then some pit fruit, citrus & rind, and tartness, with some side notes that were earthy/peaty, and slightly meaty. The aroma notes, less the disagreeableness of the fringe hints, transferred similarly to the taste, which was light bodied, but effervescent, and carried a moderate hop bitterness that was dry & earthy, along with some tartness, into the finish. A little trouble with the nose, but fairly tasty & drinkable.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy bright gold color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, tangerine, apricot, peach, pear, wheat, cracker, hay, straw, grass, light pepper, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus spicing, fruity/funky brett, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, tangerine, orange peel, apricot, peach, pear, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, herbal, light pepper, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Light yeast spice on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, tangerine, orange zest, apricot, peach, pear, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, light pepper, herbal, musty funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of citrus spiciness, fruity/funky brett, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 4%. Overall this is a damn nice all Brett citrus spiced pale ale. All around good balance and complexity of citrus spicing, fruity/funky brett, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
