Named after atom bomb test grounds, designed by a French car engineer - the bikini was to many a disturbing and degrading creation and fortunately for others a symbol of emancipation. This is attractively light bodied, seductively well balanced and very drinkable Sour Bikini is anything but a sissy beer.

From tap at Borefts ’14. Pours hazy pale yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is citrussy, zest and yellow fruits. Taste has lots of citrus, bit tart, "sinas’, refreshing stuff. Ligth to medium body, medium carbo.

Appearance: hazy medium gold with one finger of loose white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: sour white grapes, barnyard funk, floral and citrus. (8/10) Taste: intense sour, moderate sweet, low bitter, light salt. (8/10) Palate: light body tending to the watery, moderate-low carbonation, short duration intensely sour finish. (4/5) Intensely, face-puckeringly sour, getting more so as it warms. Nearly one-dimensional, with a clean sour finish that leaves you ready for the next hit. Whoever said you can’t have a flavourful light beer? At only 3% ABV, this is barely beer, but it packs massive wallop of flavour! (Think Warheads in lemonade.) Gotta love the Bjergso brothers - if Mikkel’s not blowing your mind, Jeppe is. I so desperately want to go to Jeppe’s bar in Brooklyn... (16/20)

10 oz at Star Bar. This is cloudy with a small white head. Aroma is boldly sour with mild funk. Notes of muscadine, vinaigrette, and barnyard are here. Palate is watery, needless to say. Very aggressive but clean sourness takes over. The lack of balance and watery palate are the only detracting qualities. Otherwise, the aroma and general flavor are quite favorable. If I need to really not be drunk and want a beer, this is a great option.

This is difficult. The nose an explosion of hops and then sour notes. The taste - pucker sour, hints of hops and then nothing.... Nothing - There is a beginning, start of a middle and then nothing in the taste profile. The beer has an abv of 3.0 which could potentially be the reason for the lack of backing on the tail end. I was left very disappointed and felt it was two dimensional.

Nice little session sour. Pale color with lively carb. Aroma is lemon, lightly grassy, biscuit, and light vinegar. Taste is medium tart and drinkable with an all around good flavor for such a light beer.
