Bomber from Whole Foods Plymouth. Cloudy, deep golden pour with frothy white head. Nose is hops, honeydew melon, pale malt. Tastes very tart, acidic, with notes of lemon, apricot, honewdew, peach, and heavy hops. Like a hopped up funky saison or a funked up IPA, whichever you prefer.

This beer is solid and refreshing. Bottle at the Fairfield Inn in Atlanta from Hop City. Poured into a tulip. Light golden hazy with a small one finger head. Some mild lacing, Aroma is lemon drop, biscuit, and sorbet. The taste is lemon zest, lime zest, sorbet, sugar water, and cereal grains. Moderate to heavy carbonation. Slightly dry finish with some bitter hops and tartness. Also a very back-end of herbs like oregano or tarragon. Odd. But tasty.

On tap at Haute Dish. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet lemon, kind of like a lemon drop candy, with a decent amount of sourness and some underlying yogurt. Flavor has lots of sour lemon with a light sweetness and a bit of yogurt underlying.

Bottles and draft. This rating is from draft at Samís. Pours a hazy, nearly opaque deep yellow straw with a thin ring of white lace, no head. Nose tropical fruits, light salt, kumquat, fresh grapefruit juice. Flavor is similar. Really enjoy the balance between bitter, funk, and lightly sweet tropical fruity notes. Medium palate, much fuller than one would expect for a 3% beer. This might be the best beer Iíve had at this gravity.

On tap at Westbrook. Super delicious and really sour. Love the low abv. Could drink all afternoon in the summer. Slightly cloudy yellow pour. Nice carbonation and light body. More tart than funk and tons of grapefruit/citrus. Really nice lactic notes. Crisp, dry finish. Loved it.

Bottle to glass. Pours a clear light golden yellow color with an off white head. Sour hop juice is a perfect description for this beer. Aroma is lots of citrusy, floral, tropical fruit hops. Flavor has a pretty good sour kick that finishes with a funky fruit character. Super quenchable. Delicious!

A great release from Evil Twin defies the logic that lower ABV means bland and boring. Its twist of sourness gives it a different edge than the regular Bikini Beer. If it was always on the shelves I would consider it a great tailgating or picnic beer.

Aroma / Appearance - A light cloudy body pours with a similar profile to the normal Bikini Beer. The reddish golden heart is capped by a clear white head. Musky citrus smells like an old glass of lemonade left on the shelves of a used bookstore. The funk has not developed too much so I am not sure how long it will take to evolve (if at all).

Flavor / Palate - A pleasant tartness sparks the tongue with a burst of grapefruit soaked in day old gym socks. The tart transition lacks the vinegary bite of an ambitious sour but accents the core well. A quick finish means you are quickly reaching for another sip. I think if I had to choose I would opt for the regular version but both are excellent.
