Congratulations, you have just managed to get your hands on Russian Roulette - a rare kind of collaboration between Evil Twin Brewing (Denmark) and OMNIPOLLO (Sweden).

This beer would best be described as an IPA with a twist. A twist that will reveal itself first after you "bust some caps".

One thing remains sure however, if you like hops and the lush texture of a well crafted beer this will have you smiling as you face your destiny.

Good luck,
Jeppe (Evil Twin Brewing) and Henok (OMNIPOLLO)

Bottle at Bishops Folkungagatan. Pours black with a light beige head. Dosn´t taste very black at all, guessing the bright one tastes the same! Malty, bitter and lots of orange peel.

Bottle at Bishops Arms København. Black coloured with a medium sized lasting beige head. Hoppy and light roasted aroma of caramel, pine needles and grapefruits. Hoppy flavour of pine needles and grapefruits with roasted notes. Dry roasted finish.

50cl (Evil Twin version), new exclusive Danish collab. brew Anno 2012, from De Hopduvel Gent, complex bitter brew, bitter/roasted and slightly fruity/woody, very bitter, yet balanced, hazy black-brown, good head, good brew, yet expensive, but original concept!

500mL bottle, pours black with a voluminous light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, some powdery cocoa, lightly roasted espresso and harsh citrus hops. Flavour isn’t nearly as pleasant as the nose - it’s the epitome of unbalanced, with ridiculously harsh citrus hops, torched / burnt malts, burnt coffee, tar and ashtray. Very dry and absurdly unbalanced and bitter. Finishes, burnt, bitter and ashy. I don’t understand the average rating for this one, and I am a hophead. Quite badly constructed really.

rarbring (1854) - Linköping, SWEDEN - AUG 4, 2012
Aroma: Smelling "hoppy", grass, fruits, orange.
Appearance: A black beer, a brown small head, little lacing but good curtains.
Flavor: Starting sweet, burnt bread, strong licorice, soy sauce and grape-fruit peel.
Palate: Little carbonation, coarse texture with a good body, a dry finish.
Overall: A lot in this one, somewhat inharmonious.
Note: Bottle 500 ml at De Klomp

Otroligt jämn, rund och välbalanserad öl med en kraftig beska som stundtals sticker till ordentligt. Slutsats: en bra jävla öl helt enkelt.

Very nice dark colour, rich aroma and palate, quite hoppy. Very enjoyable beer. I’d say it was a stout without sweetness .

500 ml bottle purchased at Capones. Poured a solid black body with about 60% of my initial pour being a super dense beige head that left gobs of lace and lasted the entire duration of the beer. Aroma of dark toast, bitter citrus, yellow grapefruit, spruce, touch of chocolate. Thinner body that feels a bit watery but is tempered by the strong carbonation and a solid bitter lingering finish. Flavor is much like the aroma and dominated by dark toast and bitter citrus with some dark chocolate, burnt coffee and yellow grapefruit. Very good but I wish the body was a bit thicker.

Bov (10562) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUN 28, 2012
from Erzbierschof - very dark brown almost black beer under a solid and long lasting creamy dark beige foam; nice lacework; nicely hoppy with notes of red fruits and pine needles; quite full-bodied, creamy palate and fairly bitter; slightly dry and with a pretty long hoppy finish showing notes of licorice and resine

500 ml bottle. Pours turbid black with big 3-finger brown head that is clingy as hell. Nose is heavy hops, earthy cacao, some yeasty funk. Tastes dry, with heavy resiny hops, cacao, some citrus, and a very IBU-laden bitter finish.
