3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
50 cl bottle from Ølkonsortiet. Pours black with a nice brown head. Aroma is pretty nice - sweet milk chocolate up front mixing with dark caramel and liqourice. Then a fresh punch of pungent hoppiness - piney, citrus zest, and pineapple. Very nice. The taste is more focused on the fruity hops instead of the malts. Very pungent grapefruit, pineapple and tangerine notes. Then the malts kick in with roasted notes and liquorice. The taste is very bold and raw, but the elements come together very nicely, especially the pungent hop profile is really good.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home. Pours black with a nice mocca head. Aroma is a nice mix of roasted malt and piney, fruity and grassy hops. Roasted malts and hops fight for first impact, malts win at first and then hops fight through. Long, lingering bitter finish. Like a schwartzbier on acid. Highly drinkable!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from toft vin.pitch dark. light brown head (large, fluffy, some of it smooth). very nice roasted malty and hoppy (pine, fruit peel) aroma. the dark malts are quite strong in the aroma. Flavor is bitter roasted malts, notes of cofee bitterness, lots and lots of bitter hops and a little flowery hops in the middle, then bitter roasted malts in the end. Very nice dark ipa indeed. high on bitterness. Now, i wonder how many bottles i’l have to buy to get to taste the other one...

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled at Linköping Beer Expo. Spun the wheel and got a sample that poured hazy dark brown. There’s a huge gooseberry and lychee aroma. Dryish with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Salty with licorice and grapefruit - lots of grapefruit. Some chocolate in a heavily salty, very bitter finish where ink comes close. Would have been fun to try the dark and the pale version side by side, but as it seems to be a sales gimmick to not reveal what beer you’re buying that seems difficult to do.
