Off clouded orange. 1 finger head. Nose is spicy rye andherbal citrus and spice with a leathery undertone. Taste is very interesting. Definitely pepper and green pepper. Leather and hay with a touch of penny. Sweet in the middle. Finish is like a shoe. Could do better with time.

Light but pleasant Belgian ale. Pepper only adds a hint of a bite in the finish. Light florals and some wood here. Pours golden with decent head and lacing. Finishes with a light sense of bittersweet. Tap at Churchkey.

Bottle. Pours with a hazy golden hued body with a scant white head that fades somewhat quickly. Aromas are somewhat doughy and biscuity, floral, pepper, iced tea, light tropical fruit. Flavors show a mild bitterness, pepper, iced tea, doughy, mildly oxidized. Medium body with low carbonation.

Have a towel nearby, because this one is a fizzer. Pours a hazy, barely translucent honey golden with a thick and rather persistent eggshell head. Malty aroma has a strong fruity overtone that delivers notes of banana, pear and - mango? Papaya? Something tropical. Flavor has the same zingy fruit notes, plus the jazzy pepper tone that the recipe promises. The pepper is strong enough to notice, but does not overwhelm or dominate the palate. A little pepper peppereth the whole batch. Texture is fairly firm, smooth yet lively and fizzy. Get peppy with pepper.

On tap. Golden-orange colour. Pepper, some belgian yeast funk and fruitiness, nice.

Very murky brown, tan head. Smells nicely fruity and yeasty. Taste fruity, like possible blueberry, then some peppery flavors. Some grassy notes in the finish, as well.

Bottle at PIB, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out some peppery funk upfront and Belgian yeast further back. Flavour reveals a very soft palate, with notes of Belgian yeast, clove, and banana. Not the most refined saison-ish beer by a long shot, but quite decent nonetheless. Good beer.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, very hazy golden-orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of white fruit, pepper, some bready notes into a bit of funk, yeast, hints of lemon, orange peel. Taste is a mix of bread, grass, orange, pear, white grape into some lemon, funky oak, finishing fairly bitter, dry. Nice.

Pours gold into a snifter. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving scant trailing sheets. Caramel, yeast, pepper and citrus aromas. Sweet caramel and marshmallow upfront turning to pepper and bitter earth in the lasting finish.

Bottle. Pretty tasty. Pours a hazy gold with a touch of head. Rich aroma of Belgian yeast, nutty malt, peach, pepper. Taste follows suit. Interestingly, it starts dry and finishes sweet. A bit thin and syrupy but overall quite nice.
