When two gypsies team up with an arrogant bastard, there is bound to be some criminal activity...better to view this project as a conspiracy rather than a collaboration. The strengths of all involved were utilized to break the laws of style guidelines...dark with deception, mysteriously smoked, unexplainably dry, and intriguingly hoppy...maybe itís best not to even talk about it.

Bottle from Garden City. Black with lasting tan head and lace. Tart chocolate mildly smoky fruity herbal aroma. Mild fruity tart sweetness with dry herbal bitterness and lingering ashy smoke. Nice effervescent carbo. Much better than expected. Excellent.

Pretty cool beer. Sour/spicy yeast notes mixed in with roasted/slightly smokey notes, plus some Stone hoppiness.

Black pour with creamy tan head. Hoppy nose with saison yeast notes and light roasted malts. Light delicate body. toasty malts, more hops. smokey semidry finish. basically a Rausch with some saison characteristics not bad!

Bottle; poured a dark cola brown with a smallish light brown head. Aroma of must, BO, roasted malt/smoke, earth, yeast and citrus. Flavor was solid, but perhaps not as radical as expected. Spicy and yeasty, some solid hop presence; the dark elements did not shine through in that big of a way. A solid saison.

12oz bottle. Black body with a thick, tan head. This was an interesting beer and I canít quite put my finger on it. Pepper and other spices, smoke, slight funk.

Deep dark brown with a nice light tan head. Aroma is a little barnyard, smoke, and earthy. Taste has some funk along with smoke, yeast, and grapefruit rind. Light body.

Bottle-pours deep brown hue with a small fizzy brown head not much to look at really. nose has almost a burnt motor oil thing going on with some cola, some yeasty twang and lite dark chocolate. flavors exhibit the smokey qualities alongside the twangy saison yeast. has a huge burnt note on the finish with lingering undertones of subtle saison tart yeast character. I would say that this is fairly well done however, it is not a home run. I dont taste either of the "collaboration" breweries in this beer at all-this is all stone. Body is somewhat flimsy and weak, which would have put this one over the top in terms of overall enjoyment and added in the flavor qualities. has a lingering burnt nutty note long into the finish and very dry. Decent.

Smokey aroma, but not too strong. Pours dark brown with thin head. Tastes very smooth with a slightly smokey finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Surprise find bottle from Fairfield JJís. Nice dark brown pour with a medium tan head. Pretty nice aroma that definitely leans more towards the saison style with a hit of hops. Not really getting any big smoke but a hint of charcoal and ash. Kinda muted flavor that is saison-esque but also a touch of green hops. Honestly, not getting much smoke at all; maybe a little char in the finish. Dry and hoppy like Stone described it. Okay but certainly a style bender.
