COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When two gypsies team up with an arrogant bastard, there is bound to be some criminal activity...better to view this project as a conspiracy rather than a collaboration. The strengths of all involved were utilized to break the laws of style guidelines...dark with deception, mysteriously smoked, unexplainably dry, and intriguingly hoppy...maybe it’s best not to even talk about it.

Slightly pooey aroma, a bit dodgy. Nice black, small beige head. Nicer taste there’s some pleasant bacon in the roast. Still a bit messy. Finish is quite thin and short. Some nice roast aspects, but still a bit messy generally.

Dark brown pour at Papago. I really enjoy the play of the hops, smoke and saison yeasty goodness! The hops hit first, then a nutty, yeasty flavor followed by some really well integrated smoke. Good stuff.

12oz bottle: pours a clear dark mahogany with a spotty-lacing light tan head. Has a lightly sweet dark malty nose with good smoke character and some resiny hops along with a touch of light fruity esters. Starts with good fullness and toasted malty sweetness with some coffee undertones and fresh smoke drying out slightly before a lingering bittersweet finish. Unique and enjoyable.

Dark brown colored beer with a khaki head. Moderate smoke aroma, dark fruits, and a fair amount of roast. A bit of metal, some grass, coffee, yeast, and black pepper. The flavor is lightly sweet with some fruit and bread notes. Heavy roasted malt, a fair amount of smoke, and a touch of metal. Light coffee and chocolate notes, spicy black pepper, grass, and yeast.

Tap at Capone’s. Dark blackish pour with minimal tan head. Nose was roasty malt, some funk, mild rauch, acidic notes. Tasted malty, somewhat funky, with some floral dryness, and hopcitrus. A lot going on here, but perhaps too much.
