Bottle, 22oz. A more or less black one, with a dark tan head of moderate size leaving lacings. There’s some herbal notes on the nose, oregano perhaps, with licorice, roasted malts and dark coffee. Some bourbonish boozyness and wood. Licorice, roasted malts, dark chocolate and some booze in the flavor, a nice bitterness chiming in. Lasting finish. Sure a nice one, hides the alcohol too, but I don’t really mind. 140724

(Rating #8,700) Bottle... This beer is an 800lb gorilla with a chainsaw for a penis!… Pours Marshall Zhukov-black with a small, creamy, khaki head. The aroma is a fantastic mélange of campfire smoke, peat smoke, leather and burnt mocha. Full-bodied with a buttery mouthfeel and stinging carbonation. The flavor presents burnt cocoa, charcoal and peat-smoked scotch barrel. Finishes scorched with a generous measure of lingering bitterness. World class beer provided by ctipping!
