3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2015-04-15. Black body modest tan-brown head. Aroma of roast dark malt and a light herbal quality. 7++ Flavour is nice, dark malt is rich but not overbearing. Nutty toasty notes, moderate alcohol. Hint of mint/herbal notes. 7+ Medium to full bodied palate, carbonation. Okay but not quite what I was hoping for. 7/3/7/4/15 On tap at Blue Monk, Buffalo.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours deep sable just a skeezix above jet black with a thick, rather fine-bubbled, persistent dark chocolate-tan head. I’m a stoutie, and this is nigh perfection for me! Aroma delivers nose-filling roast malt, chocolate, molasses, coffee, and subtle caramel notes. Flavor presents sinfully rich chocolate, molasses, toffee, roast malt, coffee and caramel. Mouthfeel features firm, viscous body and some good fizz. Get growlin’!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 ounce bottle, "date filled" on label is 2/17/16. Served in a DFH snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that stayed around for a really long time. There’s a decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like burnt/charred malt, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit and molasses. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s also some licorice and earthiness noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it’s slick and creamy with moderate carbonation. I think it’s a good imperial stout, I liked it. However it’s pricey at $15.99 a bomber.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle pours a thick black color with a bit of head. Loads of hops that overpower the rest of the beer a little. Strong bitterness lingers.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught @ Milk and Hops. Inky black with small, tan creamy head, faint caramel aroma, medium carbonation, sweetish sour cherry mocha taste, alcohol undertones, thick and smooth body, medium mocha finish with alcohol aftertaste. Very satisfying and robust.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample at first sunday. This has developed a deep smokiness to it. Lots of roasted malt and a bit of cocoa gritty texture. Dominant smoke though but it is light if that is your thing.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
large shared 2012 bottle.
Pours thick and dark with a decent head.
Aroma - excellent and moderately strong. The dark roasted grains are not as pronounced as they are upon tasting, but the alcohol and dark fruit notes are more evident.
Flavor: Rich and moderately complex, with strong notes of very dark roasted malts. Slightly more sweet than bitter until the aftertaste. Hint of licorice. Well hidden ABV!
Overall: one of the best Evil Twin beers I’ve had.
