4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Huge robust imperial stout. Hits all the right notes for me. Big coffee, chocolate, and a nice lingering bitterness. Touch of alcohol on the backend, but not overpowering. Great beer

Tap at Sam’s. Think this keg was about a year old. Pretty nice imperial stout here, definitely a big one, but seems like the age may have mellowed it out a bit. Lots of cocoa, and light coffee notes. Roasted malts, some light barrel influence (though not sure this was even barreled at all). A nice beer, but still a bit more booze than I want in an imperial stout these days. I can’t hang like I used to!

Growler. Dark brown pour with no head. Smokey aromas. Smoke and fantastic dark roster malt notes with caramel undercurrents. Good body and mouthfeel. Bravo...

(Bottle) Pours black with a brown head. Dark roast, dark berries, hops and a touch of vanilla. Perfect sweetness and perfect bitterness. Smooth, velvety and fat with a full body. Smooth roast, dark berries and hops on the finish. Reminds me a bit of Expedition Stout.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This collaboration is rich and edgy. Bitterness is dialed up and there is even a bit of acidity. Although there are hints of chocolate and coffee an elegant grain expression carries the weight followed by a long finish. This beer is very complex and interesting but not entirely accessible.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. This beer was tasted on the night Dafne Schippers, a Dutch heptathlete, won the bronze medal at the Moscow World Athletics Championships, to celebrate this fantastic achievement. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized medium to dark brown colored head that unfortunately diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma has malts, roasted malts, ash, lightly chocolate. Taste malts, roasted malts, lightly chocolate, nicely bitter. Oily texture, medium to full body and carbonation.

Draught. This is a big thick bitter brew that flys on the direr side of "New Years Eve.." I liked it but don’t know that its much of a differentiation from some of Evil Twin’s other collabs. Regardless its a great brew.
