4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Huge robust imperial stout. Hits all the right notes for me. Big coffee, chocolate, and a nice lingering bitterness. Touch of alcohol on the backend, but not overpowering. Great beer

Black pour. Small tan head. Big aroma of malt and molasses. Taste is a sweet and bitter version of the same.

650ml bottle from bananbi11, served at cellar temperature. Thanks! Black pour with little head. Aroma has sweet caramel, licorice. Some booze. Taste is caramelly, with light licorice, some cocoa and some alcohol. The body got smokier and smokier down through the glass. Medium to full bodied. Finished sweeter than bittersweet. Had high hopes so this one was a bit disappointing. 13.8

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate roasted malt, chocolate, smoke, molasses, light espresso, and anise. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and some faint orange highlights around the outer edges of the glass. It has a one finger tan head that fades a thin film outlined by a thick ring. There is some sporadic webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate dark chocolate. There are some dark fruits/plum in the middle. The finish has moderate roasted malt, lighter smoke, espresso, and anise. Itís medium-full bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat slick mouthfeel.

2015-04-15. Black body modest tan-brown head. Aroma of roast dark malt and a light herbal quality. 7++ Flavour is nice, dark malt is rich but not overbearing. Nutty toasty notes, moderate alcohol. Hint of mint/herbal notes. 7+ Medium to full bodied palate, carbonation. Okay but not quite what I was hoping for. 7/3/7/4/15 On tap at Blue Monk, Buffalo.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours deep sable just a skeezix above jet black with a thick, rather fine-bubbled, persistent dark chocolate-tan head. Iím a stoutie, and this is nigh perfection for me! Aroma delivers nose-filling roast malt, chocolate, molasses, coffee, and subtle caramel notes. Flavor presents sinfully rich chocolate, molasses, toffee, roast malt, coffee and caramel. Mouthfeel features firm, viscous body and some good fizz. Get growliní!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 ounce bottle, "date filled" on label is 2/17/16. Served in a DFH snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that stayed around for a really long time. Thereís a decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like burnt/charred malt, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit and molasses. Taste is similar to the aroma, but thereís also some licorice and earthiness noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, itís slick and creamy with moderate carbonation. I think itís a good imperial stout, I liked it. However itís pricey at $15.99 a bomber.

22oz bottle pours a thick black color with a bit of head. Loads of hops that overpower the rest of the beer a little. Strong bitterness lingers.

Draught @ Milk and Hops. Inky black with small, tan creamy head, faint caramel aroma, medium carbonation, sweetish sour cherry mocha taste, alcohol undertones, thick and smooth body, medium mocha finish with alcohol aftertaste. Very satisfying and robust.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample at first sunday. This has developed a deep smokiness to it. Lots of roasted malt and a bit of cocoa gritty texture. Dominant smoke though but it is light if that is your thing.
