Pours cloudy amber with low white head. Aroma of light citrus, hay, leaves, barnyard, yeast. Taste is balanced hoppy sweet with honey, bread, caramel, milk chocolate. Body is surprisingly light for the ABV, and creamy with low carbonation. The wine barrels aren’t that present, but after a few sips, I can definitely make out some notes of sweetish Austrian riesling or something similar.

330ml bottle from Ølbutikken

Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of tart vinous notes, berries, some wood and fruits. Taste is smooth, fruity and slightly tart with some vinous notes. Finish is wooden and fruity with some tart notes. Decent, quite vinous Belgian ale.

lusikka (4124) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 4, 2013
330 ml bottle.
Pours a golden colour without a head. Aroma of white grapes, oak, birch leaves and grass. Flavour of tart white grapes, white wine, mild caramel, wood, earthiness and some grassy notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation and a sharp finish with white grapes and white wine. Like a cheap white wine. I’d rather drink beer. Or at least decent white wine.

33 cl bottle.
Hazy golden color with a small head. Some sour apples on the nose, yeast, mild spice notes and some caramel malts. Citrusy fruits and yeast on the flavor, sourish berry notes, some spices and goose berries too. Somewhat dry sourish palate. A disappointment.

Very hazy gold beer, good white head. Crispy palate with a carbonated nip. Mild creamy malt and a brief not of mellow bubblegum. A tart grape and citrus flavour dominates. Finishes softish and semi dry. Different!

A - Hazy golden-orange with a big finger of frothy white head. Fades slowly. S - Oak, vanilla, wine, tart green fruits, Belgian yeasts, some grainy malts, lemon zest, citrus hops, a bit of booze. T - Oak, wine, vanilla, tart green fruits, grainy malts, some Belgian yeast, lemon zest, mild spices, some citrus hops, a touch of bitterness, and a bit of booze. M - Medium bodied with moderate-heavy carbonation. Smooth with a sweet, warming, and lightly dry finish. D - Great balance. The barrel aging really comes through nicely.

Bottle at Monks. Hazy orange pour with a big pillowy white head. Huge aroma of orange bubble gum. Peach taffy. Orange zest. Apricot. Honeydew. Nectarines. Green grapes. Some floral notes as well. Softly sweet with maybe a touch of sour. Finishes dry and oaky. Somewhat high ABV is well hidden. Well carbonated. Silky body for a Blonde. Very nice!

Pours hazy orange into a snifter. White head top hats rim and keeps going. Summer melon and citrus aromas. Dry and astinhent with sweet cantaloupe, apricot and watermelon. Lasting oaky finish.

Bottle. Pours light yellow, hazy, with a small white head. Notes of honey sweetness and white wine in aroma. Add some apple sourness and dryness and you get the picture of the taste. Very elegant! Reminds me of a dessertwine.
