COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Usandsynlig tyktflydende, forførende mørk og smoking good.
Ingredienser: vand, malt, peated malt, humle, gær.
English Language Label: Amazingly rich, seductively dark and smoking good. Yes a real heartbreaker. We recommend only the truly skillful, heavyweight beer champions to battle this awfully addictive and overpowering smoked Stout. Be careful because this is the real deal with a minor Placebo effect. Makes invalids out of supermen.

330 ml bottle from Randall’s. Pours an opaque brown color with a huge tan, foamy head that lasts for a long time. Aroma of roasted malts, soap, dark chocolate, earth, nuts, and ash. Flavor of dark fruits, chocolate, roasted malts, brown sugar, plum, and metallic notes. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, fruity mouthfeel for a smoked beer. Moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Scopey (6180) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 20, 2012
Keg at CP&K. It pours black, with a thin tan head. The nose is roasted malt, charcoal, wood, ash, smoke and some dark fruit. The taste is dark fruit (raisin, plum and grape), alcohol warmth, ash, roasted malt, charcoal and vinous notes, with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Flavoursome and well balanced. Rather drinkable.

Wah. Poured this at a good temperature with a massive, tan, foamy, frothy, fluffy, creamy head that settles after a bit and some lace. Color is an opaque black brown. Aroma is smoke, malt, molasses, a little red wine. Flavor is the disappointment - a little sour and hard to get around it. Otherwise it’s like nose, plenty of bitter and the sweet is offset by the sour. Body is good, I think, but again the sour leave high points that I don’t think would normally be there. Finish is like flavor and I cant drink anymore.

Bottle from the Anderson’s. Pours black with a thick 3 inch khaki head. Notes of cocoa on the nose. Tastes of moss and peat with a hint of sweetness. Finish lingers a bit. Solid but not my favorites style.

MrChopin (3220) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 19, 2012
near black, thin tan head small bubbled, lasting. Salty smoke and ash nose, light olive astringency reminds of HotD Adam , chocolate swirling in and out. Flavor shows chocolate and smoke at front, sweeter cake malt through middle before dry wood and char in finish, sticky light carbonation accenting dryness throughout, particularly in the finish. Bit off meat sweetness in finish, otherwise rather nice.
