4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Thanks Papsø:
Deep dark brown pour. A huge vast thick and slowly settling down brown foamy head on top of a pitch black colored beer.
Aromas of roasted barley malts, smoke, some leather, hint of coffee, sweat, fish, deep roast, wood roast, hint of coal. Nice.
Flavours of roast, roasted and burned wood and barley malts, some coal, light bitter, bay leaf, some light hop tones, other roast and burned notes, tar, hint of smoke, some soya and fish fond.
Aftertaste has lots of roast tones, roasted/burned barley malts and wood, coal, some ash, some sweet bitters and a light smokey touch.
Low carbo, full foamy creamy thicker mouthfeel, full body and a creamy oily texture. Balanced and deep roast, yet smooth.
I guess this is more an Imperial Stout than a Smoked style of beer, but let’s say the two combine very well!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap. Pours opaque black with a medium dark brown head and creamy great lacing. Aroma is cigarettes and coffee; it really is an ashtray! Flavor is the same, light to medium sweet (which was a bit disappointing), lightly smoky, light ashy acidic and an underlying light bitterness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an almost black red, with a thick tan head that lasts a while. Smells of mild chocolate and coffee, bit of pencil shavings. Tastes like chocolate, toffee, a hint of coffee, molasses, caramel, and a touch of salt. Finishes very clean. Lighter body than expected.

Bottle. Pours a thick and near-black color with an enormous light brown head. Nose is very smoky with some dark fruit elements underneath. Taste is much the same, but slightly more smoky.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
An interested bottle of peat and smoke. Heavy peated notes with a mild chcocolate dusting and a ton of heavy liquid smoke. Peaty and roasted malts are blended well but linger into the aftertaste but like a ciggarette butt well after sipping on this guy. Just too stilted and not a cohesive brew at all.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
From the bottle. Extremely dark pour with a big light brown head that has some staying power. Smells like a campfire with some malts. Tastes heavy on roasted malts and the smoke is mostly in the finish. Mostly sweet smoky flavor. Interesting beer.
