COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Usandsynlig tyktflydende, forførende mørk og smoking good.
Ingredienser: vand, malt, peated malt, humle, gær.
English Language Label: Amazingly rich, seductively dark and smoking good. Yes a real heartbreaker. We recommend only the truly skillful, heavyweight beer champions to battle this awfully addictive and overpowering smoked Stout. Be careful because this is the real deal with a minor Placebo effect. Makes invalids out of supermen.

draught@Erzbierschof Punkt - black beer with a moderate head retention; solid roasted aroma of black chocolate and ... yes ... ashtray; some sweetness below, a robust malt backbone, velvety palate, a late but solid bitterness; pretty dry and long roasted chocolatey finish

Dark brown, almost black with a creamy brown head. Aroma has mostly wet wood, smoke and too much alcohol. Taste has chocolate, roasted malt and slight smoke. Medium body, high soft carbonation, dry mouth feel. Dry bitter after taste.
Too little smoke, too much alcohol.

pours very dark brown if not black with a very nice beige head, excellent retention and lacing. roasted and smoked coffee beans, smoked raisins layered in burnt caramel, very peppery, peat, ashes (surprise), dry molasses and maple syrup, minerals. average to light carbonation - wish it had been just a tad softer, medium body - oily, very dry and slightly harsh ashy-resinous-bitter coffee. hint of sweetness and smoother would have helped balance-wise. nice smoked!

(Keg at Pipes of Scotland, Uppsala, 20140922) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had liquorice, smoky charcoal and burnt malts. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were liquorice, dark chocolate, smoke, burnt malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, smoky and bitter. A good and balanced smoked stout.

Dark brown body with a medium brown head. Aroma is roasty, a bit of chocolate, not as much smokiness as I expected from the label. And thats a good thing. Taste is sweet, light bitter. Carbonation is average. Medium body. Not an overly smoked beer but as not a big fan of the kind I prefer the hint of smokiness.

Bottle. Dark brown in color with a tan head. Roasted malts, gently smoked wood and vanilla with sweet notes in aroma. Light smoked and roasted malts in taste mixed together with hints of spicyness and dark chocolate.

33cl bottle @ home from De Molen. Nearly black body, very huge brown fizzy rocky mostly lasting no lacing head. Nose is light ash, smoked bacon, hint of rum, Aroma is moderated smoke, woody, licorice, soy sauce, root vegetables, toast, later hops. Taste heavy bitterness, hint of sourness. Full body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation, long lasting toasty bitter finish. Interesting and easy porter, only the high carbonation makes it difficult to drink it.

Barwa: czarna, nieprzejrzysta. Piana beżowa, drobno i średnio pęcherzykowa, obfita, utrzymująca się i ładnie oblepiająca szkło. [ Aromat: zdecydowanie słodowy - czekolada, melanoidyny, lekka wędzonka "mięsna" likier wiśniowy, suszone śliwki. Niestety również nuta metaliczna (potwierdzona w teście skórnym) i nieco alkoholowa. Smak: słodowy i zdecydowanie pełny. Barwa i piana do prawdy świetne.
