COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Usandsynlig tyktflydende, forførende mørk og smoking good.
Ingredienser: vand, malt, peated malt, humle, gær.
English Language Label: Amazingly rich, seductively dark and smoking good. Yes a real heartbreaker. We recommend only the truly skillful, heavyweight beer champions to battle this awfully addictive and overpowering smoked Stout. Be careful because this is the real deal with a minor Placebo effect. Makes invalids out of supermen.

Brilliant pitch black color, brown, dense and lasting head, very nice aspect. Pours like petroleum, dense, oily, brilliant. Aromas to roasted malt, tobacco, chocolate cake, sweet espresso over a smoky base. Taste of black liquorice, leather, smoke, liquor and basically sweet, low hopped. Great texture and body. Wow, such a beer!

DocLock (6789) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 11, 2011
Shitter bottle from Frank Smith’s. Pours turbid deep brownish black with half a finger of brown head. Nose is rich roasty chocolate malt, mild rauchy smoked malt, some hops, port, and dark berry. Very complex and compelling aroma. Tastes rich, earthy, peaty, with an initial big tart blackberry and chocolate malt presence. Warms up to give emerging hops, more chocolatey malt notes, but the blackberry tartness and figgy notes remain, giving this one the sensation of a dry port/merlot with some slight smoky malt elements within. Gets even fruitier as it warms, and stays complex, unique, and absolutely delicious from beginning to end.

On tap at Craft Beer Co on 17th September 2011. Impenetrably black with brown head that thins and lightens in colour. Rich earthy aroma, with caramel and smokiness. Delicious medium-bodied liquid with light to moderate sourness, fruit and cigar smoke; luscious finish of Christmas pudding, chocolate liqueurs and pipe smoke. Very enjoyable smoked porter.

On tap at Monks in Philly. Pours a thick pitch black color with a very thin light tan head, that falls to a ring around the edges. Aroma is smoked malts and roasted coffee with some dark chocolate. Smells like a chocolate covered campfire. The taste starts off with plenty of roasted malts, molasses, and dark roasted chocolate, then moves into woody, dark ripened fruits, vanilla, and a deep smoke. The heavy smoke lingers in the finish with a slight bitterness. Big mouthfeel that is very smooth and creamy with some lighter carbonation.
