COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First came a toasted smug called Yin followed by a hoppy fella called Yang. Let me introduce you to Auld Yin – a wrinkly more experienced take on youngster Yin. 9 months in the company of an insightful, complex whiskey cask made a pretty interesting spin on this imperial tajii taste adventure. Aye!

330ml bottle, best before 2015. Black as hell with a small, big-bubbled mocha head that doesn’t stay on for long. A little bubbly lace on the edges. Aroma is sublime, lots of sweet malt, toffee, vanilla, slight roast, chocolate, bourbon and a hint of port. I could smell this forever. The taste? Starts off with the sweet malt, backed by an almost raisiny presence, bitter chocolate, sweet, dark fruit, big roaaty finish. Not quite as complex as the nose, but good. On the palate it’s nice and chewy with medium carbonation, slightly sticky and real velvety. Real nice.
