COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First came a toasted smug called Yin followed by a hoppy fella called Yang. Let me introduce you to Auld Yin – a wrinkly more experienced take on youngster Yin. 9 months in the company of an insightful, complex whiskey cask made a pretty interesting spin on this imperial tajii taste adventure. Aye!

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2012 Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours an opaque black with a lacing beige head. Sweet woody, oaky aromas pretty much overpowering the roast. Rich body, low carbonation, very, very sticky sweet roast and quite some rustic wood. Quite some heat in the finish. Quite too sticky. 230512

Bottle. It pours a dark brown to black body and a minimal sized light tan head. Roasted malts, coffee, molasses, alcohol, booze and a touch of chocolate and dark dried fruits. Quite complex flavor with the booze playing a leading role. Lots of molasses, coffee and chocolate blending in. Warming and full-bodied, with very soft carbonation. Lasting finish with lots of flavor. A damn pleasant and tasteful beer, well suited for sharing with a good friend. 130504

This was a great choice for my first beer at Torst. A fantastic Stout with a slight whiskey taste. It was a real slow sipper and I hated to see it end. You can read all about the taste from the other reviews, I’m just here to give this beer the big thumbs up andI recommend you drink one if you can.

Bottle from state line liquors. Pours coca-cola brown with a thin brown head that leaves little lacing. Prominent bourbon notes on the nose. The bourbon on the rogue is there but also so smoke and licorice notes. Viscous mouthfeel. Finishes clean. Solid for style!

Uploading old ratings that were missing comments. Nice imperial stout. Whiskey is prominent. Lots of char/smoke/roasted malt type notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
