On a pilgrimage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly drops of amazingly overwhelming aromas, a thick fudge-like body, pitch black color and obviously only made in limited amount. And then the taste....even more jesus! Produced and bottled by Evil Twin Brewing at Companyia Cervesera del Montseny SLL. Catalunya, Spain.

Dark fruit and smoke aromas, balsaic vinegar too. Taste is dark fruit, dark chocolate, balsamic vinegar, star anise, and smoked malts.

Black pour, tan head, decent lace/retention. Aroma is roast, coffee, chocolate, darker fruits, dried fruits, light anise. Medium to full body, well balanced with a fairly dry finish. Pretty nice for a non BA one, but grossly overpriced. Expedition stout is a $20 6 pack here and it’s better. This was a $9 bottle...

On draft at Beer Belly in Albany. The pour is light black with a little garnet around the edges. There is no head and no lace accordingly. The aroma is smokey. Fuck. There is a lighter milk chocolate thing happening that’s alright I guess. Smoke controls. Big malt and light bitter roast. I wish the Jesus series didn’t suck. The flavor is smokey as well. There is a bitter roast and some dry dark chocolate, but the smokiness just sucks. This could be much better without that shit. The mouth feel is thin and watery with a very light carbonation and a lingeringly smokey aftertaste. There is a hint of dry chocolate, but it’s light. I dislike this beer purely based on the smoke. God damnit.

Aroma is roasty, smoke, chocolate, coffee, not real complex. Appearance is black, light brown head, thick looking. Taste is smoke, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, mostly smoke. Mouthfeel is heavy body, light carbonation, smoke aftertaste. Overall, this is good but lacking complexity. Pretty much the same as regular Jesus.

Excellente.

Bottle from Belmont Station, Seattle
Oil black color with small brown head. The aroma is milder than expected, but the body makes up for that; full bodied, lovely chocolate flavor with some roasted malt, the sweetness level I like. Powerful and harmonious.

Bottle tried side-by-side with Even More Jesus. The flavor is very similar to the regular EMJ, bordering on exactly the same, but that’s only a compliment. This is chocolate, fudge, raisins, and dark fruit all packed into a rich, diabetes-inducing bottle. Seriously tasty.

Bottle. It poured a black color with a tan head. The aroma was of chocolate, roasted malts, marshmallows and alcohol. The taste was similar to the aroma with more chocolate, marshmallow, molasses, dark fruits and alcohol. Very tasty.
