Pours extremely dark in the glass with almost no head. The aroma has dark cocoa, vanilla, roasted nuts and a touch of wood. The taste has a great balance of sweetness and slight bitterness which provides a smooth balance. There is toffee, raisins and a barrell aged rum that comes through. I also get some oak and vanilla that linger in the finish. Great beer.

Strong roasted malt, wood and alcohol aromas. Pitch black with a small head. It appeared thick. Heavy, smooth and oily. This beer was a sipper. Rich roasted flavors with coffee, vanilla and alcohol. Slightly chocolate finish. Good, strong and rich. Still prefer Even More Jesus by a slight margin.

Thanks bob. 11.2 oz bottle. Dark black. Very smoky. Doesn’t have as much of the euro malt as I expected.

Bottle... This beer rocks!... Pours pitch black with a brief, fragile head that doesn’t stick around for long. The nose is a collection of chocolate crčme, vanilla, blackstrap molasses, pouch tobacco and roasted almonds. Full-bodied and silky with modest carbonation. The flavor is sweet and carbonic, boasting dark chocolate and a strong molasses character. Finishes roasty and bittersweet. Not many complaints here, other than too much blackstrap molasses from all the black patent malt used.
