On a pilgrimage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly drops of amazingly overwhelming aromas, a thick fudge-like body, pitch black color and obviously only made in limited amount. And then the taste....even more jesus! Produced and bottled by Evil Twin Brewing at Companyia Cervesera del Montseny SLL. Catalunya, Spain.

Bottle. Pours opaque black with average, frothy tan head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, vanilla, coffee, bourbon, chocolate, plums, earthy hops, and smoke. Flavor is roast malt forward with dark chocolate, vanilla, earthy hops, and dark fruit esters; dry, ashy finish. Full body and low carbonation.

Pours very dark and oil with a brown / dark burnt orange head. The aroma has lots of dark chocolate, smooth roast, vanilla, cream, milk, fudge and mild coffee bitterness. It has a thick chewy body body with decent amount of semi-soft carbonation. The taste has rich lush dense chocolate, smooth roast, licorice, cinnamon and cream. The finish has more bitterness, some earthy hops, coffee and lingering harshness. Really well made imperial stout.

11.oz bottle pours a thick hard black with small brown lacing around the glass. I think I see some sediment on the bottom, knowing Evil Twin it is most certainly unfiltered. Heavy mix of alcohol and fudge on the nose, almost oily and I feel like if i keep smelling it I’ll get a headache. Extremely low carbonation, thick and rich body. Heavy with a very fudgy taste, hardly bitter and easy drinking for the abv. After finishing plenty of sediment at bottom of glass. Almost close to a dessert like treat, this got me drunk¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Recommended.

Bottle that I think I got at The Party Source. Pours a pretty much opaque dark brown - nearly black - with a tan head that settles into a lasting ring. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, burnt sugar, molasses, tobacco, earth, and coffee. The flavor has the same notes but lacks the same richness and balance. More dark fruit, as well. A little thinner than expected, with low to moderate carbonation and a roasty, earthy mouthfeel with just a hint of a metallic note. Has a deep roasty note on the end, borderline ashy. Good imperial stout.

Bottle @ THT December. Pours a pitch black beer with a big beige head on top. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts and dark blackstrap molasses going on. Very full and strong aroma. Flavor has again loads of coffee, roast and some soy sauce. Long, cloying sweet finish. Great complexity going on here. Good stuff!
