3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle that I think I got at The Party Source. Pours a pretty much opaque dark brown - nearly black - with a tan head that settles into a lasting ring. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, burnt sugar, molasses, tobacco, earth, and coffee. The flavor has the same notes but lacks the same richness and balance. More dark fruit, as well. A little thinner than expected, with low to moderate carbonation and a roasty, earthy mouthfeel with just a hint of a metallic note. Has a deep roasty note on the end, borderline ashy. Good imperial stout.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Thanks, Jason. Pretty viscous pour, oily black body with not much head, very thin tan ring forms around the edge. Aroma is super thick. Dark fudge brownies with roasted nuts, lots of chocolate & hints of light smoke, charred malt, ash, & a touch of black licorice. Nice molasses character, too. Big time roasted malt & woodsy, ashy char in the flavor. Dark, dark chocolate, bitter & roasty with only a very small hint of offsetting, creamy sweetness. Burnt brown sugar, a touch of anise, molasses, & faint smoke. Dry, bittersweet fudge & roasted finish. Very nice beer.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
"Had head to w Even More Jesus. This is a slighty smokier, slightly dryer, and ever so slightly (really splitting hairs here) lighter version. Still decadent fudge and bakers cocoa and delicious as all get out - just a step behind the other."
