4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Another fine ET brew, and another great coffee imperial stout in the world. Pour was dark black brown with a brown choco head, weak lacing, though. Aroma of licorice, anise, coffee, and chocolate. Flavor followed, dry ground coffee and as it warmed a slightly sticky sweet finish under some mild roasty bitterness, vanilla and caramel too. Mouthfeel was full. Nice stuff. (Not sure Jesus did anything with coffee or beer, and if he did, I’d bet it would be even finer than this good stuff... the water-wine thing should add confidence to that end. But ET, go ahead and invoke his name on the label. I’m sure he’s ok with that. At least you didn’t shame him with the quality, but I’ll take J over this!)

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Belmont Station, Portland. Pours opaque black-brown, little to no tan head. Aroma seductive, relatively subtle, coffee-forward. Body full and roasty, finish positively sublime. No warming, this is almost too smooth. Ridiculous...

11.2 ounce bottle poured into a Belgian snifter. Pours jet black with a finger and a half of tan head. Oily consistency from the pour. Aromas of coffee, sweet nuts, roast, dark chocolate. Tasting notes of coffee, roast, dark chocolate, caramel, nuts, toast. Full body with a dry finish. Full creamy/oily mouthfeel, One of my favorite Jesus variations.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. The look is dark, black in color, with a tan head. The smell is rich, coffee beans, roast, malts, espresso, and alcohol. The taste is the same, alcohol burn, and ok.
