Imperial Stout with Coffee Added On a pilgrimmage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly coffee beans -- threw them in and created damn good aromas, a thick fudge-like body, pitch black color and obviously only made it in limited amounts. And the taste.... furthermore Jesus!

(bottle) clear, very dark brown with a small, brown head; aroma of coffee, then stewed fruit, soy sauce, then jam; thick palate; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish, well hidden alcohol

On tap @ Burgundian after Coffee Beer Fest. Pours thick jet black, just a hint of mocha head that fades to nothing quickly. Aroma is huge roasty dark chocolate malt; fresh roasted coffee; rich, creamy Belgian chocolate; quite dry overall. Taste is similar - thick, rich, coating milk chocolate up front; nice coffee and dark chocolate mid-palate; juicy fudgy notes throughout, then dry and clean on the finish. Sizable ABV is completely hidden with all the big flavors here. Seriously impressive beer, quite decadent.

Jet black color with no head. Aroma of fig, fudge, and dark roast coffee. Deep molasses, rum, dates, and roast barley. Lots of dark cocoa. Some earthy hops. Very thick body.

11.2 ounce bottle, no dating on it that I was able to find. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that stuck around a while. There’s a decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like coffee, molasses, chocolate, roasted malt and a bit of anise. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s also some smoke, burnt/charred malt and dark fruit noticeable. Lots of roasty bitterness, but the sweet flavors are there, too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it’s creamy and slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. I think it’s a pretty good imperial stout, definitely worth picking up if you like stouts and/or coffee beers.

Aroma of roasted coffee and cinnamon spice. 11 oz bottle pour at home pours black and thick like motor oils with a very slight tan head. Very smooth drinking with a bitter coffee molasses bite.

Black appearance with little to no head. Aroma is a little smokey with a bit of spice. Flavor is big smoke with a bit of sweetness and big chocolate malt. Huge beer, and quite tasty. Wife: 4.1

Bottle at home with my Dad. Pour is deep black with a small tan head and good lacing. Big cocoa, leather, anise, coffee, toffee, brown sugar, molasses and maple syrup in the aroma. Taste is slightly smoky, cocoa, roasted espresso, toasted bread, leather, brown sugar, and anise with a big toasted finish. Thick/syrupy mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Really tasty stout but wish it had a little more sweetness.

Again the rider of the hops provides something gewd. Pour jet black, with a small mocha brown head. Aroma has plenty of roasted malts, and yes - plenty of roasted coffee. Coffee beans, faint chocolate and licorice, some oatmeal even? Taste has a little sweetness to it, but really is dominantly roasted bitter. Body is pretty smooth, semi-full body, rather flat carb. I like dis better than the Regular Jesus. - you know, made by evil twin.

Bottle. Pours a thick black with an inch of mocha head. Aroma has lots of coffee, some chocolate, roasted malts. Taste is similar. Lots of rich chocolate, some roasted malts. Very rich. Full bodied; thick and creamy; extremely dry, astringent finish.
