COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Stout with Coffee Added On a pilgrimmage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly coffee beans -- threw them in and created damn good aromas, a thick fudge-like body, pitch black color and obviously only made it in limited amounts. And the taste.... furthermore Jesus!

11.2oz bottle poured half into snifter. This beer is big and bold. Pours a pitch black color, with chocolate brown head. Aromas of roasted coffee beans, charred wood, unsweetened chocolate, and booze. Flavors dominated by bold coffee, toffee, burnt sugar, with a Bourbon finish. Oily mouthfeel, medium body, very low carbonation, dry coffee finish. This would cellar well. Great job Gypsy!

pours black with a very thick dark brown head. The aroma is amazing. I am a bartender so that fresh roasted coffee bean aroma is something im very use too. this is it, with cocoa and caramel with just a hint of anise. Flavor is spot on. full bodied. alcohol is well present but balanced. this is so good. 15 bucks for 11.2 ounces and worth every nickel.

Taste is roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, molasses, caramel, cocoa, brownies and mocha. Body is medium with a strong, dense, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more strong coffee notes, mocha, cocoa, chocolate covered dark, oily coffee beans, roasted malt and light molasses.

Bottle from CBX. Pitch black pour with a creamy brown head. Rich coffee aroma, earthy, roasted malts, cocoa powder, bitter sweet chocolate, notes of nuts and a solid hop character. Flavor is bold coffee, cocoa, bittersweet chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts, earthiness with some pine hops lingering in the background. Big, lush body with a slightly bitter finish.

Bottle from Whole Foods Plymouth. Pours thick and turbid jet black with 2-finger dark brown head. This one looks great. Nose is rich and creamy coffee, cacao, dark malts, hops. Tastes dark malty, very rich and complex, with big cacao, coffee, blackberry-like fruit, backup hops, and a dense, complex, and very well balanced finish. This is outstanding.
