COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Stout with Coffee Added On a pilgrimmage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly coffee beans -- threw them in and created damn good aromas, a thick fudge-like body, pitch black color and obviously only made it in limited amounts. And the taste.... furthermore Jesus!

Pour is black as pitch, even out of the bottle, but with no head, even when poured with vigor. Big nose with roasty black malts, boozy sticky stout syrup, deep bittersweet dark cocoa, and a little coffee. Body is a bit fudge like but not as boozy as a 12% normally tastes. I mean, it’s thick but it’s not very boozy. Roast and dark bittersweet chocolate dominate the flavor, there’s a little coffee and fudge on the back end.

Bottle. Huge roasted malt aroma with coffee and chocolate notes. Pours inky black with a very thin light brown head with no retention or lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt flavors with a little bit of chocolate sweetness. Finishes smooth with a lot of roast and coffee flavors that linger on the palate. Pretty good, but not a big fan of the coffee.

Surprisingly my least favorite Jesus. Still really good, but up against the others (and the sick coffee heavy Speedways, et al it was up against head to head) it didn’t quite get there. Thick and fudgy as always, but the coffee had a slight meaty flavor and nose that I couldn’t quite get past. Still great just not AS great.

Incredible heavily roasted coffee flavor, balanced with oak, cream, dark chocolate, roasted malt and sweet bourbon. Complex flavor but great balance and texture.

Bottle from craft beer cellar A: coffee, chocolate, caramel, brown sugar app: pitch black no head. T/p: full body with sweet but short finish. Flat. O: too bad the bottle was dead flat I’m under impression that this would have been an awesome brew.

Lots of big roast and some dark chocolate. Black pour with good head and lacing. Some light caramel. Bittersweet finish. Great balance here. Bottle.

Bottle thanks to Bursprak. Pours pitch black with a dark brown head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, fresh ground coffee, some herby hops, dark chocolate and cocoa beans. The taste has chocolate, coffee, roasted coffee, dark bitter roasted malts and weak ashy notes. Excellent stuff!

This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a nice looking dark brown close to black color with a slim brace of a small off white head that quickly dissipated into nothing. The smell had a fantastic amount of sweet to rich and bitter coffee beans running into the cocoa powder sweetness strolling about. The taste takes in the previously mentioned flavors to blend sweetly and eloquently. Light sweet and bitter coffee aftertaste leading into the finish nicely. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping quality about it. Carbonation runs super light allowing a stellar smooth to creamy sort of sticky feel on my tongue. Overall, I say this was a wonderful Imperial Stout that I would love to have again.
