Sleightly hazy orange with a huge white head. Its a classic imp ipa and a good version of it. Flowers and mandarine aroma reminding me of simcoe. High bitterness in the flavor with a nice malty caramel undertone. Bitter finish

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 1, 2011 Bottle included in a box from the man himself, FrumptyDumpty.
I was nervous about this one due to freshness concerns, between being sent overseas and a bottling date I was uncertain about. But the nose shows good signs, rich in tropical fruitiness and light notes of sweet caramels. Some melon sweetness on the front of the tongue. Medium-full body. Finish is lashing bitterness, grapefruit pith. One of the best things this beer does is look like a fucking IPA. Right color, nice amount of lacing. Good job, although I wish the finish were a bit less harsh.

Tap @ Fairbar. Pours hazy dark brown with a small white head. Big aroma of hops, pine, grapefruit and bitter orange. Taste is hops like in aroma, with sweeter fruity ones aswell, kiwi, melon and abit of caramel malt, alcohol is very well hidden. Medium body, soft carbonation, very long bitter finish. Nice brew all around. 040211

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Medium shiny beige head. Hazy amber body with light carbonation. Fruity mealy peachy aroma with wooden resiny notes. Dry-sweetish peachy wooden oily taste with resiny citric catnip notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, oily mouthfeel. Dry peachy resiny fruity ash aftertaste with wooden grassy mealy notes. Nice, powerful. Maybe a bit lacking in complexity. Too much ash in the aftertaste. De una botella. Hazy amber colour, huge well lasting white looking head. Lots and lots of hoppiness in the aroma: ripe and exotic fruits, citrus, pine and peah too. Good filling mouthfeel. Quite hoppy (and quite pleasant) hoppy flavour: fruity ripe, pine, citrus, exotic fruits and alcohol , (in a very pleasant warming and very positive way). Good long lasting bitterness in the fruity pleasantly sweet finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Schouskjelleren, Oslo.
Heavy stuff. In your face herbal hops - spearmint and evergreens. Sweet malt, warming alcohol. A bit too much of everything - more sutied to bottling than on tap. The hops a bit too hars - unpolished.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From keg via bottle@Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Thanks to Bernt for sharing. A low blond head, upon an unclear orange-golden body. Alluring aroma from the Citra(?) hops. Superfruity and fresh. Some caramelly malts to back up. Nice fruity hop flavor, as well. Tropical and citrus zesty. Medium sweet, light caramelly malt foundation. Feels full in the mouth. Oily texture. Fruity hop linger in the finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Ølbutikkem. When poured this one is blasting fresh hops away. (grap this beer while it is fresh - so you don´t miss that feeling) The pour is cloudy dark amber topped with an impressive orange coloured foamy head. The head stays there (- and you can write in it if you want). The hose is agressive hoppy, where aspecially the citric notes are up front. There are also some sweet notes of caramel, spices like white pepper and some lemon peel. finaly i sense this farty thing you see in hops like Nelson, and which actually makes the impression more complex and interesting. The mouthfeel is pretty thick and creamy and is i guess the think reminding you most of christmas. The palate is a bit oily and it differs out into a bright bitterness and a warm alcohol finish. The taste backs the aroma pretty well and you gets alot of the same impressions. a heavy sweet and bitter bastard that is not bad to share. good one.
