3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 yngwie (9205) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 8, 2012
Bottle. An almost clear one, dark golden in color and topped by a small, off-white head. There’s a faint, weak note of something reminiscent of cellar in the aroma, a touch of alcohol too, slightly more caramel maltyness than in the 8 % ABV edition, but it’s mostly citrusy, piney hops. The flavor is a bit on the sweet side I think, with lots of bitterness, and pleasant hoppy yumminess. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated, finishing with a nice sweetness, and even more bitterness. Overall, it’s a bit on the sweet side, but it’s certainly a nice beer anyway. 110916

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 shoulderbroken (587) - Tokyo, JAPAN - FEB 20, 2012
Bottle at Delirium Hoppy Loft. Orange amber with beige thin head. Aroma is cat pee, pine, ultra hoppy bit of spice too and lots of fruit. Real prickle in the mouth. Taste is ultra bitter, and fruity, bit of orange, bit of grapefruit, some intense citrus and plenty of alcohol. Warming yet bitter finish. Quite nice, but the extreme puckering of the mouth it causes makes it hard to pick up the flavour properly.

Pours an amber colored beer with a nice fine head. It smells fabulous like grassy hop aroma, a lot of citrus and a slight fruitiness. It starts massively bitter and burning spicy, very fruity with lots of citrussy hops. The middle part has a strong herbal note. the finish burns on the tongue, very spicy and herb-like, with plenty of citrus and a distinct hop aroma. The 10% of alcohol are hidden very well.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - NOV 19, 2011
9/13/11/13/11/13
