Bottle, 50 cl from Ølbutikken. Pours clear golden with a slighty off white head. Aroma is full of fruity, piney hops, smells like pineapple and passion fruit, maybe orange too, but also a really pleasant malt profile, a much smoother and balanced malt bill thn many other DIPAs, really pleasurable smell. The taste plays on the same strings, it has a lot of hoppy bitterness, but not exaggerated in any way. The hop taste is very fruity, the same orange and passion fruit thing going on. Again, the malt bill seems perfectly balanced, gives it some body, but it doesn’t become heavy in any way. It tastes really crisp, a hint of caramel. But the hoppy bitterness takes over just in time for the hops to still dominate. Wow, this is exactly what a Double IPA should be. Definitely the best DIPA I’ve had for a long time. Perhaps even top 5 DIPA for me.

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of hops and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, spices, and malt, leading to a very bitter finish. Quite raw.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup/Pinball. Pours a cloudy deep golden with a white head. Sweet fruity nose with lots of citrusy hops. Solid body, solid malt base, lots of fruit, a phenollic touch, a little doughy with a solid hop bitterness. Nice but not the most refined DIPA. 130711

Poured hazy golden with 2" of creamy white head. Smells of piney hops. Tastes a little of lemon and huge amount of hops. American style but light bodied.

6/10/11. 500mL bottle. Almost clear dark golden pour with a small white head that fades. Huge spruce on the aroma with a touch of citrus. Big citrus/pee flavor with a lingering buttery, malty bitterness that is slightly off putting, but still decent. Grainy and malty. Not bad.

Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Pours a hazy and amber beer with a weak offwhite head. The aroma is malt and hops with peach. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is bitterness. Overall a good beer.

Draught, KØ11. Mild grassy hop aroma. Cloudy dark orange colour. The flavour is nicely grassy with a good underlying malt base. Quite malty without getting sweet.

On tap at Ginger Man, NYC. Nice hazy deep orange pour with a light head, semi-fluffy with sticky legs. Nose is initially sweet syrup, but dry and grassy hops come on thankfully. Body is medium, not quite as full as hoped for, and thus the mouthfeel is a bit sticky. Booze and sweet malts are a bit more forward than I care for but the beer nonetheless tastes sprightly and dry. Pretty good, but not the best DIPA from this brewery.
