Beautiful translucent orange with a dense and lasting beige head. Lots of particulates. Soft, slightly sticky, medium-full body with medium carbonation.

Aroma: fresh and fruity, with piney citrus hops, and sweet toffee malt.

Taste: bright juicey piney tangerine-rind hops, cracker and toffee malt. Bright and intense but balanced and pleasant. Flavors and aromas are nice and clean.

Verified this is the 8%. Bottles from Smith’s and Capone’s. Wow, this is my third cherry popper of the evening. After tonight, I’m going to be looser than Lindsey Lohan after an L.A. Laker post-game party. On to the review. The pour is turbid pumpkin orange colored, toward canary but promarily orange, with a huge fluffy 4-finger white head. The nose is juat astounding, a medley of intense tangeriney and pineaplly citrus, heavy hops, black pepper, honeydew, and honey. The taste is rich, veru complex, with an initial heavy caramel malty flavor mixed with the huge IBU load, with heavy black pepper, tangerine, pineapple, chardonnay, and some star fruity notes. The palate is dense and absolutely delicious. This one is incredibly good, and it is not a stretch to place it in the upper echelon of IIPAs. I suspect it would fare quite well for itself in a blind tasting with the world’s finest. Get ya some, and do it before it’’s gone.

Toasty and spruce aroma. Very toasty flavor balances this one out too. Visually, it looks good for a double ipa although head was lacking. Full body that lingers on the tongue for quite some time.

(Bottle 7/4-2011) Good balance between the sweetness and bitterness. American, American and American hops what could go wrong.

Draught @ Beer Temple. Slightly unclear orange color, thick, dense, creamy, long lasting white head. Smell light to moderately malts, a lot of grapefruit, resin, citrus and hops. Taste malts, hops, citrus, grapefruit, bitter, pine, spruce. Medium to full body, sticky texture, medium carbonation. Good, solid DIPA.

Good beer for the "Before" and I let it warm some before pouring a healthy sized, foamy, frothy, fluffy, thick, off-white head that lasts a while and plenty of lace. Color is a slightly hazy amber apricot with a number of bubble trails. Aroma is classic, heavy duty American IPA - lots of grapfruit, pineapple, citrus, resin, malt, caramel. yeast. Flavor’s like nose with just more of everything, although there’s a slight muting of carbonic tang and corresponds to likewise slightly soft carbonation. Body is good and full. Finish is like flavor, very long and has only an indication of alcohol. Nice beer if you’re in need of a hop fix.

Smell of resin in this one, some good pine and pine tar here. You also get a bit of floral hops and some citrus surrounding a strong malt backbone. Good bitterness and resin. Has some decent citrus fruit flavors to it which help to balance out the resiny hops.

On tap@Lúpulo Feroz. Nice hop aromas, herbal, citrus, pine. Pours hazy golden with huge white head, persistent. Medium body, soft carbonation. Taste is citrus, mild bitterness, smooth, with very well integrated and balanced flavours, ending with an astrigent and dry aftertaste. Very enjoyable.
