3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Mikkylar (94) - Placentia, California, USA - MAR 25, 2012On tap @Brewery Provisions. Pours black with gigantic brown, creamy head. Slight aroma of coffee, chocolate. Flavor is mostly coffee with a slight heat on the back end. Medium body with a fair amount of carbonation. Didn’t really taste the almond.
4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 aenima (71) - Askim, SWEDEN - JUN 15, 2013
Great imperial porter! Really chicolately aroma almost coffee like. The taste is chocolatelty and hints of coffee. A little toasty background. Sligthly sweet but I like it!

Bottle. Pours dark with a nice light brown head that sticks around. The aroma is mostly malt, some toffee and dark burnt fruits. The taste is very well balanced. Some of the toffee and coffee play through. The malt is upfront and then gives in to the booziness of the beer. A nice porter, almost a stout in my mind.

I wouldn’t like it if every imperial porter tasted like this (not that they could), but something this decadent is a real treat in moderation. A true dessert beer, chocolate, vanilla, creamy, rich, and dark. Delicious.
Tried at the bier station in KC.

Pours a deep hazy brown with nice thick off white lacing. Aroma is pure dark chocolate, light coffee, roast and biscuit. Mouthfeel is creamy, medium to thin with same notes plus a hint of almond.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Sperine (193) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 5, 2013
On tap at Capone's in Norristown, PA. I am a fan of these delicious sweet stouts. Makes me want to actually have a biscotti break with this. Or just try the Imperial Biscotti Break. Probably both.

30th July 2012 Opaque black-brown beer, good sized tan head. Frothy airy palate, dry. Hazlenut! Hazlenut dominates the dark malt. Trace of coffee. Mild minerals. Not getting any vanilla. Creamy finish. A very nutty beer!

Bottle@Home. Coffee beers not being my favourite, yet this one kind of impressed me. Not that much overwhelming coffee but balanced and still flavourful. Sparkling, light alcoholic. Yummy.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Kobal (57) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 24, 2013
Pours a viscous black with very little head. Smells of almond and chocolate with roasted coffee. Taste is an initial brief umami flavor rapidly followed by bitter roast coffee, moving into sweet chocolate and almond. Alcohol kind of hides under the big flavors, but can be detected. Finish lasts forever. Body is thick, rich and smooth with hardly any carbonation. Delicious, very well balanced between nutty coffee bitter and rich sweet chocolate.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Torrefacto (87) - - MAR 22, 2013
Color negro opaco, espuma beige, densa y duradera.
