COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s Note: Replaced by Imperial Biscotti Break, which has a separate listing. This first edition was a porter made with espresso, vanilla and toasted almonds for the Beer cruise Rome-Barcelona, June 2011. Brewed at Fanø Bryghus, Denmark, 7.5% ABV. Previous bottled and distributed batches were 8.4% ABV.

Italy has a certain “je ne sais quoi” – fab food culture, highly decadent history of art and cool countryside. Some might argue the people are loud and flamboyant, they steal our women, and their soccer players melodramatically flop on the pitch. Listen – that’s all part of the secret Italian ingredient – keep it cool, confident, arrogant and extravagant. Forza Italia!

Malt beverage with almonds, vanilla beans and coffee added.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours an opaque black with a brown head. Comes a slow gusher. Sweet vanillaish roasty aroma. Solid body, chewy sweet roasty malts and vanilla and a discreet coffee touch. I don’t really pick up any almonds though. No real bitterness just smooth and delicious throughout. 180212
