COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editors note: the first edition was brewed at Fanø Bryghus, Denmark for the Beer cruise Rome-Barcelona, June 2011 and held 7.5% ABV.

Porter made with espresso, vanilla and toasted almonds for the Beer cruise Rome-Barcelona, June 2011. Italy has a certain “je ne sais quoi” – fab food culture, highly decadent history of art and cool countryside. Some might argue the people are loud and flamboyant, they steal our women, and their soccer players melodramatically flop on the pitch. Listen – that’s all part of the secret Italian ingredient – keep it cool, confident, arrogant and extravagant. Forza Italia!
Malt beverage with almonds, vanilla beans and coffee added.

Draught at Capones on my beerunch trip with Caruso. Ok this is my second shot at reviewing this as I deleted my old review since it was compromised from an improperly sealed growler. This time around this one poured a thick oily pitch black body sitting under a dense dark beige foamy head. Aroma is phenomenal, a mixture hit chocolate, latte, vanilla and cake batter. Thick full creamy body with average carbonation and a smooth full finish. Flavor of high quality vanilla flavored chocolate, latte, espresso. This is one great beer.

Bottle shared at Klooster, Delft. Black pour with crazy big beige head after a fairly excitable pour. Aroma of light chocolate, coffee and soy. Chocolate, vanilla, coffee and a little background soy. Body is medium to full and carbonation feels low after the initial explosion.

On tap at Tap and Mallet. Pours a pitch black with an off white head. Aroma has dark chocolate, almonds, and vanilla. Tastes much the same. Delicious! The alcohol is hidden well. This was very foamy. Took him a while to get a partial glass to sample. Every glass 80% foam.

On tap. Poured black with coffee, nutty aroma. Great coffee, vanilla, nut flavor. No detectable hop flavor or aroma. Finishes with a lingering chocolate aftertaste. Very good beer! Would go perfect with a Chocolate Mousse! ---IdealBrew "Good People Good Beer"

This poured a medium to darker brown color with a beige head. Aroma was lots of chocolate and vanilla, some caramel too. Flavor was very similar, fairly sweet, lots of toosie roll caramel and chocolate notes, with some nice vanilla and rum cake notes. Pretty nice beer.
