COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a really big beer and we wanted to put it in small bottles, but the two bozos were so fat they couldn’t fit on the label. Enjoy this rich, ridiculous and screwball-ish Imperial Stout with hints of: molasses, lactose, chocolate, almond, hazelnut, vanilla bean, cinnamon, oak spiral, chili, marshmallow, muscovado sugar, chesnut and coffee. Made for Bozos.

Bottle @ GT Cat’s Cabana. Thanks, GT. Jet black, highly viscous, and a tiny tan head. Roast, ash, and burnt sugar on the nose. Lots of molasses, coffee, and vanilla. Tons of grape jelly, some smoke, and a slight spiciness. There’s a weird savory character to the taste. It’s also intensely sweet and sugary. Tons of vanilla, brown sugar, and grape jelly. Some coffee and roasted malt bitterness. A bit of smoke, spice, and green pepper.

Bottle shared by Dr Silverworm. Poured a black color with a moderate frothy brown head that diminished slowly and produced sticky legs and good lacing. Good roasted chocolate malt, nuts and coffee aroma. Copious body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Complex dark dry sweet stout flavor with a smooth vanilla nutty finish of long duration. Very well balanced complex stout. This is a standout beer.

Bottle. Pours black oil with brown head. Nose and taste of molasses, toasted nuts, brown sugar, coffee, chili peppers, toasted almonds, vanilla bean, cinnamon, charred oak and light milk sugar. Full bodied. I would have really liked this in a nip bottle. 22 ounces is a bit much.

> Green coffee and paper disaster

[ Bottle ][ Texas Liquor ][ 651mL ][ $20 ][ Stemless Wine Taster ][ 4/26/14 ]
>> Inky pour, low red foam. Nose is jalapeno, green spicy coffee, fumey alcohol, soy. Taste is extreme paper, palate destroying, really rough coffee. Not even sticky sweet or boozy, just so much paper. Mild coconut oil in mouthfeel, but finish is devastating.

>!< extreme paper

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out insane amounts of coffee above anything, maybe a touch of cocoa. Flavour brings out sludgy cocoa, coffee, coal, and caramelized sugar. Super thick and viscous. Tastes a bit confused, by it is still very enjoyable. ABV is amazingly well-hidden.

22oz bottle from Party Town, shared. Bottle slowly foamed over just a smidge when opened. Very dark pour. Almost pitch black. Thin light brown head. Some loose dots of lace. Big nose, lots of roast, some vanilla. Wow. Alcohol is extremely well hidden for 17%. Way less bite and burn then expected, pretty much none really. Drinks like 12%. Nice bitterness, light sweet. Bigger body. Smooth lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Marshmallow. Some bitter dark chocolate, nice burnt roasty coffee. Maybe just a hint of acidic. Hint of spice... Super good and complex. Amazing how well this hides the alcohol. I could have probably easily finished this whole bottle myself.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, thick oily black pour with dark brown head, lasts as a thin rim around the glass, no lacing, but not expected for the ABV. Aroma is surprisingly mellow, some molasses, toffee, dark chocolate, brownie, fudge like notes, some slight coffee, hints of a nutty note in there as well. Taste is a mix of dark chocolate, brownie batter, hints of fudge, vanilla, molasses, some slight coffee in there but pretty mild, some nutty notes, very slight hint of booze but really not much, finishing fairly sweet, slightly bitter. I actually don’t mind drinking this whole thing, and the flavors are pretty nice for what it is.

sample at Buffalo Food Bank Fundraiser. Big black pour, fuller bodied. very agressive at 17%. ton of things going on here. Huge roasted malt presence, dark chooclate, burnt coffee, vanilla, hazelnuts, some pepper induced heat. A lot going on but tough to deal with the 17

Bomber to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a mostly opaque dark chocolate with mocha head. Smells and tastes of dark malt, bitter chocolate, and some roast with a bit of metal on the palate. Good, but I prefer some of Evil Twin’s ’lower abv’ beers.

Dark brown pour with a brown head. The aroma and flavor have a ton of coffee and roasted malt notes in them. The flavor also has some big chocolate undertones. Each drink of the beer reveals different flavor notes, with the coffee and chocolate really melding well together and making this a very enjoyable stout. There is certainly some alcohol present but it doesn’t taste at all like a 17.2 percent beer. Thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nice stout.
