Can you imagine something more repulsive than the smell of cats piss? Not really - go on, open up and inhale the sharp nose of cats piss extracted from the heavenly dry hopped Nelson Sauvin. The good news is you’ll love the freshness and the light body. It’s a true quality guzzler IPA.

11.2 oz bottle. Poured a cloudy golden color with a large sized off white head. Fizzy body. Aromas of floral hops, earthy, some vinous hints, and citrus. Tastes of floral hops, earthy, citrus, and caramel. The fizziness of the body detracted from the tastes.

Bottle. I bought this because of the name and served it at my birthday a while ago. It was well liked but the consesus was that it (luckily) wasn’t as bad as it sounded. Didn’t smell or taste much like cat piss (I think).

Koelschtrinker (17721) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 26, 2011

Labeled Catz Piss: Grass and shrubbery on the nose,. Clear amber, thick yellow head, good lacing. Grassy hay flavor, some DMS. A bit disappointing, but it didn’t taste like cat piss.

Bottle from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is strong resiny hoppy, cats piss probably. Taste is also strong resiny hoppy, surprise...almost balanced by the malt body. Strong bitter aftertaste as well. Not for me this beer.

BMan1113VR (7917) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 18, 2011
On tap. Pours with a hazed golden hue and a lasting bone hued head. Aromas are extremely pungent. Aromas of chlorine, tea, white wine grapes, minerally, estery, pine needles. Flavors are musky, pungent, bitter, minerally and herbal. Strong chlorine. Medium bubbles, dry and lightly vegital. I’m afraid it really does live up to its name. Sorry, not enjoyable in the slightest.
