Can you imagine something more repulsive than the smell of cats piss? Not really - go on, open up and inhale the sharp nose of cats piss extracted from the heavenly dry hopped Nelson Sauvin. The good news is you’ll love the freshness and the light body. It’s a true quality guzzler IPA.

Explodes out of bottle with a five+ finger off-white head that fades very slowly to a lump leaving chunks of lace. Hazy light amber color with some yeast left in bottle. Pine hops nose. Fierce carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor has some caramel with pine hops. Decent IPA. Pricey at $7.70 for a 330ml bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me. Best before 2013. Bottle label is Katz Pis.

15 cl. draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft – (A) only slightly hazy amber with a white head – (S) mellow slightly fruity grapefruit hops / Nelson with a dash of caramel / exactly like cat piss according to my friend who has more expertise in that area / mission accomplished – (T) definitely on the mellow side for an IPA – mellow grapefruit hops, passionfruit, touch white grapes, caramel, definite malt presence in here finishing in a medium pine plus touch herbal bitter finish – (B) touch oily, easily drinkable, hop feel to it as well – not a bad IPA

Amber coulored with a big foamy head. Lots of Nelson Sauvin on the nose. Citrus, kiwi, gooseberry, rubard, white grapes. Slighlty oily, but fresh, tart, dry and medium bitter. But Cats piss? Isn’t that more Simcoe.

Bottle from Whole Foods Roosevelt

My first Evil twin brew. Maize with an off-white head and long-lasting sudsy lacing along the sides of the glass. On the aroma I get grapefruit, cactus, and yes, if you imagine hard enough, something that resembles cat piss. Floral hops, grapefruit and peach and a bit of melon but dusty rather than juicy with notable yeast presence and a peppery finish. Very enjoyable, very drinkable IPA but at $7.99 for 12oz it simply can’t compete as a regular drinker.

Bottle 33 cl. Explosive thick light off-white head that really lasted. Excellent display of lacework. Cloudy to hazy gold color. Pour it up and left it in the glass for a few minutes. The tingling sweet and light spicy aroma filled the room from a meter away, which was quite impressive. Initial sniff gave the impression of sweet flowers, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, light citrus and a hint of grapefruit. Also fresh forest like notes came to mind. Over the palate came notes of citrus fruit, light dry wood and dusty like feel and some underlying malty notes as well. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and dry texture. Moderated bitter and sweet flavor well balanced. Finish off with again this lovely mix of exotic citrus fruity and dry hoppy notes and underlying tones of caramel and light toasted malt.

Hazy orange ipa. Nice full body, not overdone. Lots of hops, both in nose and mouth. Regarding the catpiss, i have left a little on the couch so i will wait and snif over the next few days to see how it develops...

330ml bottle carried back from Ølbutikken in Copenhagen. Hazy, apricot coloured body. Lasting, tiny white layer leaving fragile lacing behind. Fresh aroma of cirus fruits. Succulent and well blended flavour of different kinds of citrus fruits. Lingering, dry hopped bitter finish. Very refreshing (shared with Finn, Tromsø 17.11.2010).

A Mes rate. Bottle at The Cad’s Pure Mad Rocket Mon The Beezer Tasting.
Hazy Amber gold with a decent off White head. Looks inviting. Slightly astringent, slightly phenolic, epic hoppage. Excellent bitterness and fruit. Not as much amonia as the name would have you think. Really tasty and fun to drink.

Bottle say dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin not Summit. Pours a ver cloudy orange color with a frothy white head. Aroma is of fresh juciy hops, grape fruit and topical fruit jucie. Flavor is very hoppy again the tropical fruit jucie like pineapple, grapefruit, some resinous bitterness, and faint caramel malts. The body is medium and very dry. Overall a really interesting IPA!
