4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Cirrhosis (1073) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 7, 2013
long. Dam what did I just drink!!!! This is a different beast!! Aroma is big and filled with apple, I’m detecting some kind of spicy heat, plums, molasses, hints of alcohol and something burnt. Flavour is big and burnt, ash, sweet plum, chocolate, hints of coffee. I’m loving this beer. Big burnt sugar with a lingering bitterness in the finish that last forever. Good good brew.
3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20 gEUS (587) - Linden, BELGIUM - APR 26, 2013
330 ml bottle - 2011 vintage @ home, poured into a wine tasting glass.
Pours deep red-brown with a medium light beige head. Thick legs. Nose is cold coffee, leather, cigars, dark forest fruit, slight vinegar touch.
Medium body, but way overcarbonated, damn. Light sweetness but as from the bridge, alcohol butn is taking all over. Finish is roasty and smoky.
Taste is chocolate and coffee.
Overall: a pity of the carbonation as it takes away a lot of the character of this beer. Decnet but not overwhelming.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Hansen (5449) - Assentoft, DENMARK - APR 25, 2013
Wet, burnt paper, nice malty, roasted too. Coffee, is it espresso, well perhaps. Its dark, black. Light brown head, medium duration. Aroma of roasted malts, sherry, and the burnt edges of a newspaper. Sweet flavor, heavy coffee, as a double up, espresso. Creamy, dry texture.

Bottle 330ml @ Geokkjer
Pours almost black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, coffee and some sourness. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium sour with a dry and sour finish. Body is full, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Marheb (1178) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 1, 2013
Bouteille explosive cause de tumulte poste canadien, j’avais mauditement soif. Une fois le bordel nettoyé, cendre, tabac, noix de coco, velouté en bouche. Pas la plus standard des imp stout, assez grincante.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 kbudd19 (94) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 27, 2013
Pours pitch black (I don’t know why I even bother saying that with stouts) a finger of head that evaporates real quick. This bottles got some age on it and the taste shows, very well balanced, smooth, not overly bitter what can I say very tasty?
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Beergeek23322 (426) - Chesapeake, Virginia, USA - MAR 27, 2013
February 2012. An excellent stout that is balanced and compled. The high alcohol content does not overwhelm. A bit lighter body than other stouts.

One of the lighter imperials that I’ve tried from Evil Twin. Large head, pours dark. Coffee flavor is there but not pronounced. An easy sipper.
