Black color, brownish head. Dusty aroma of roasted and burnt malt. Good body, with strong flavor of roasted malts, dark chocolate; a bit dusty, and with some salty liquorish. Not my kind, a bit too roasty, missing some alternative dimension.

Bottle from Beer Revolution. Pours pitch black with a thick light brown head and a strong coffee and treacle aroma. There is a rich chocolate and molasses flavor with an anise finish. Very nice brew.

Black with a lasting, frothy tan head. Aroma of caramel, milk chocolate, grassy hops and mild fruit. Dry roasted flavour with fruit and spice, and a bit of yeasty character

bottle. pitch black, smooth light brown head. very nice aroma of roasted malts, faint charchoal, wood, a quite well blended and balanced aroma. Flavor is roasated malts, chocolate, malty bitterness, mild hoppy bitterness, this sort of grassy taste I sometimes find in de molem beers, quite a bitter roasted experience. The 10% alc. is very hidden, I would have guessed 5-6 pct. palate is a little thin. Still - pretty tasty.

Appearance: Pours black with a thin tan cap of froth.

Aroma: Burnt chocolate roast.

Taste. Dark chocolate, burnt roast, ashes. Very earthy too.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied and rough.

Overall: I thought the super dark roast profile worked well for this beer, a well roasted coffee effect without using coffee.

33cl Bottle via trade with Plovmand, thanks bro! Black colour, beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malts, pipe tobacco, chocolate, hint of coffee, berries. Flavour is medium sweet, sticky on the lips, but rather bitter with loads of hard roasted malts, bitter coffee, bitter chocolate, walnuts, milk chocolate, light fruity, bitter roasted finish. Medium bodied. Aroma is really nice, taste is a bit too much imo.

11.2 oz. bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours solid black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, wood, chalk and burnt toffee. Flavour is roasty and chalky, with roasted malt, a dry chalky-like note, bread, slight burnt caramel. A little too much of the chalky quality to be excellent, but I enjoy the roasted characteristics. Enjoyable, but with obvious flaws.
