hackobock (900) - SWEDEN - OCT 13, 2013
Bottle from Systembolaget, labeled as Naked lunch in a Copenhagen heavenly resto. Pours very dark brown with a small dense tan head. Aroma has ash, metallic notes, chocolate, light medicinal. Taste is better, smooth chocolate bitterness and caramel sweetness but it has a metallic acidic finish which puts it off a bit. Bad bottle?

jrob21 (2351) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - OCT 12, 2013
Solid drink but lacking much of the complexity and presence of the big guys. A light soy and purple fruit aroma. Viscous mouthfeel with a lot of milk chocolate and a touch of coffee. Alcohol burn on the back end with a bit of spiciness and bitterness.

legion242 (2099) - Richardson, Texas, USA - OCT 11, 2013
Poured a deep black with almost no head. Nose of roasted malts. Tastes rather boozy, as if bba, but in a good way. Perfect nightcap

jeremyh70 (585) - Missouri, USA - OCT 6, 2013
Pours an opaque dark brown with good tan head and lacing. Dark chocolate and dark fruit with some roast in aroma. Bitter chocolate and cocoa with hint of coffee and smoke in taste. Also some alcohol flavor and spiciness with some roast and hop bitterness. Slick mouthfeel with medium/full body and medium carbonation. Solid stout that is on the hoppier side.

3fourths (7797) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 5, 2013
Bottle. Cocoa / milk chocolate-focused malt-driven nose with burnt popcorn husks and a certain malted milk ball powderiness. Chewy, creamy, fudge-y and decadent. Seemingly low sweetness and a fluffy, springy texture of rich chocolate fudge cake or perhaps a bouncy doughnut. Softly effervescent from natural carbonation. Some green / vegetal hop flavor with growing bitterness and noticeable mustiness in the finish. So another better than average beer from the Two Roads brewery. Well executed, and as far as I can tell there’s no adjuncts or flavorings in this beer, so points for that as well.

12 ounce bottle. Big chocolate taste. Licorice. Syrup. Sticky and bit beer all around. Very nice.

*11.2 oz. bottle* Look: Black body with a 1/2 mocha head. Smell: Full creamy molasses, mild bitter coffee, hints of pine oil, mild dough, alcohol, chocolate, oats and spices. Taste: Molasses, cookie dough, burnt malts, sweet chocolate with hints of cocoa, cinnamon spice, hints of bacon? salty, bittersweet finish with a little acidity. Feel: Medium-full body, weird cola like carbonation. Overall: One of the weirdest Imperial Stouts I’ve had. Some parts remind me of Night Stalker some parts of a spiced Danish with bacon. Salty spice flavors and hints of acidity in there as well. This isn’t bad by all means, just different. Some parts of me says "This is world class". Some parts says.. otherwise. This shares a Love/ Hate relation on my taste buds. Thanks for warping my mind again Evil Twin. This Brew is worthy.

Foffern (1065) - Bodø, NORWAY - SEP 25, 2013
Bottle shared with (and courtasy of) the brewers of Bådin. Pours a black colour with a small, light brown head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, lactose, some meat and nice roasted malt in the end. The flavour has more roasted malt and is pretty nice. Slick and rich mouth feel, and the bitterness is light. A well-balanced IS with a wonderful roastedness.

bottled as advertised on 08/23/13, yes the american system and not the euro system 23/08/13.. that makes no sense. pours deep black with a thin tan head that reduces to an oil slick like cap. toffee, roasted malt, light caramel, slight astringency and solid bitterness. body seems a bit thin but otherwise good.

_angst_ (2366) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 20, 2013
Bottle courtesy of RoNo. Labeled as Naked Lunch in a Copenhagen Heavenly Resto. Pours very dark blackish brown with a creamy and bubbly dark mocha head that leaves some thick lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is tiny sweet and malty with roasted malts, dark roast coffee, sweet dark bread, cocoa powder, alcohol, charred wood, molasses and hints of green bell peppers. Taste is tiny sweet, slightly bitter and malty with heavily roasted malts, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, green peppers, salty liquorice charred wood, burnt cookies, pine needles, moist soil, moss, cocoa powder and molasses. Mouthfeel is soft, round, roasted astringent, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is bitter with heavily roasted malts, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, burnt cookies, charred wood and pine needles.
