Smooth as silk. Jøje meg, ikke rart ha kaller seg the Evil Twin - Mikkeller har en verdig konkurrent i sin tvillingbror. Dette er stor bryggerikunst.

from Erzbierschof - black beer with no head retention; aroma of roasted chocolate, cacao and black cherries; full-bodied and with a light acidity/sourness; some earthy maltiness and more chocolatey tones; respectable bitterness; hints of cacao and tar - the exagerated carbonation from the previous version is away but this is far less complex

A - Dark brown-black with a big finger of frothy chocolate colored head. Fades slowly. S - Dark chocolate malts, molasses, black licorice, touch of coffee, vanilla, earthy hops, and a bit of booze. T - Dark chocolate malts, molasses, black licorice, roasted coffee, a bit of dark fruit, vanilla, some earthy hops and a bit of bitterness, and a bit of booze. M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and a bit creamy with a sweet and warming finish. D - Nice smooth imperial stout. Great mouthfeel and overall balance.

Bottle. This is another big serious impy from evil twin. Very hoppy and dry. Well balanced but definitely intense.

Shared bottle at craft ale house - thanks sean Pours black with a medium sized tan head. The aroma has major mocha notes and some dark chocolate. The taste is very roasty, dark chocolate, coffee bitterness on the finish. Very nice and booze is well hidden.

Bottle on Christmas eve. Pours Dark Brown with a light tan head. Aroma of over roasated malt. The flavour has a prominent degree of burnt brown sugar which is shut down by the bitter coffee/chocolate finish. There’s some nice chocolate character in between. Sweet, sourish then bitter and dry. Very nice.

oooo good thing I checked as I had forgotten to rate this bizatch. Mostly blackish but goes dark brown at half De Koninck glass level with a decent frothy medium brown cap. Brown sugar that’s a bit burnt, molasses, coffee, sweet plum, pungent dark berries, roast and a sugary mental nose of sorts. The taste is actually better than the aroma. Smooth, Jager watered down, borderline smokey candy berry something, not juniper but something evergreeny in that way, moderate roast lingering mellow bitterness. Pretty good unique flavour. Smooth teeth. Blerk. I dig but I could do without being reminded of how I lost the ability to drink Jager one night....

On tap at Brewdog, Poured dark brown with a thin off white head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and roast malt. Medium body, flavour much as the aroma with a vanilla smoothness.
