Butelka. Intensywny aromat czekolady i kawy, lekka wanilia. Wysycenie niskie do zera.

Tan foamy head 2 1/2 fingers in depth. Coca cola color and look to this beer. The aroma is chocolate, a coffee roastiness, caramel and hints of dark fruits. Medium mouthfeel, a little thinner then I was expecting. The taste is similar to the nose, but the flavors are much more muted. Iím also getting an anise flavor to this beer with a bitterness at the end. A nice stout overall but the flavor profile is not my really to my liking.

12 oz bottle from BOTW (Rochester), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Deep brown black with a decent mocha head. Aroma: All the rich aromas that one should expect from an Impy Stout...molasses, coffee, black chocolate, booze, slightly ashen/smoky, grape-like fruitiness, also a tangy fruitiness, faint licorice. Palate: Medium-full body, somewhat restrained carbonation. Flav.: Deep and rich, lots of dark chocolate, molasses, grape fruitiness, only very slightly smoky/ashen, black coffee, quite good; sweet with big bitterness and a long, mouth-coating finish of rich, dark malts.

Quite the name and quite the beer!

330ml bottle from Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours black with a fluffy tan head. Lovely toffee and marzipan aroma. Thick and oily mouthfeel. Big heavy chocolate taste with espresso notes and smooth roasted elements. Very much enjoyed this.

Bottle from The Bottle Shop London and drunk at home. Black beer lasting tan head. Big chocolate aroma, some booze too. In the mouth itís mostly chocolate and alcohol. I mean itís not overly subtle or complex. Itís a big roast chocolate beer. Has a shade of Speyside whisky to the aroma. Itís big. Bold. Bit too boozy for me I think. Itís a sipper and as I read my book itís a good beer to have a sip of from time to time, but not really my thing.
