Cocoa nibs, chocolate, licorice, roasty malt for the aroma. 2014 vintage, drank it on the new year’s Eve (2016). Sweetest then i expected, a hint of dark fruit and vanilla rounded well this one. Aged well.

Aroma of cocoa and dark malts at first feel, soon great hoppy aroma is appearing - wonderful piney notes, greatly balancing with dark malts In mouthfeel a little bit of tar but great bitterness from hops, little notes of liquor but also bitter chocolate. Overall great american ris, complex and nonconforming beer although alcohol could have been hidden better.

bottle @ home peach black, dark brown head coffee, raw licorice, walnuts, wood, a hint alcoholo, cocoa beans really complex taste, more carbonated than I expected, first cacao, some licorice, cocoa bean and coffee beans, after some time an explosion of enjoyable raw licorice balanced with milk chocolate. Great Imperial Porter

Niska, ciemnobezowa piana. W aromacie duzo deserowej czekolady. Po ogrzaniu lekki aceton, niestety. Aromat jest dosc gesty, zapowiada niezle cialo. Mimo to, w smaku piwo jest stosunkowo wytrawne, i o zgrozo wysoko nasycone. Palono - czekoladowa goryczka. Bardzo przecietnie niestety, wysokie nasycenie to nie jest dobry pomysł na risa.

It’s got some smoke and ash without delving into ashtray -- a little surprising, given the name. Dark chocolate, dark coffee, and more dark.

35.5cl bottle, served in Shaker glass. Pitch black colour with medium tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel and hints of smoke. Taste is the same with less smoke and a slight bitter touch. It’s a very intense brew, the roasted flavours last for quite long on the palate. Full body, good carbonation. Very good Imperial Stout.
