12 oz bottle from Andersons. Near jet-black like "I Love You With My Stout" but maybe a touch thinner; yet again, nearly no head or lacing. A little brighter aroma than ILYWMS; vanilla, toffee, chocolate roast, maybe even some light citrus. Flavor roast, vanilla, caramel, Body medium-thick, yet oily, all while not being stupidly sugary sticky. Real nice.

Bottle. Pours black with small brown head. Aroma of espresso, dark chocolate, dark fruits, coffee liqueur and vanilla. Very rich and strong. Taste is bittersweet. Medium bitterness lingers through finish. Nice roastiness. Smooth body with low carbonation. Nice clean alcohol with some warming. Very pleasant. Very good.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate, espresso, heavily roasted malts, smoke, and hops. Taste is bitter, as one would expect. There is relatively little sugar in this monster. Body is heavy, but not syrupy. Plenty of dark chocolate and dark coffee up in there as well. Well made if you are into this kind of thing.

AWISLguy (1517) - Wisconsin, USA - NOV 22, 2014
Bottle from Alpine in Madison. Pours black with a brown head leaving streaky lacing. Aroma has roast, rich bakers chocolate, cherries and some licorice with caramel. Yummy! Taste is of bittersweet chocolate, caramel, sweet cocoa, licorice, some espresso and a hint of smoke. Perhaps some vanilla in some waves. Full bodied, with some alcohol, and a bit rough. Finishes more bitter than sweet on the bitter-sweet scale. Roasty/bakers chocolatey bitter overtaking the caramel/cocoa. This is a very nice brew with a strange name. 15.3

Pitch black, and in a tiny glass unfortunately. Not much of a head. Treacle flavour, but of coffee maybe. Pretty good overall.

Slabienki imperial Stout ze Hey. Malenka brazowawa piana, praktycznie nie ma jej. Ciemne czarne i pachnace kakaem wanilia i czekolada. Umiarkowanie kawowe i goryczkowe w smaku. Troche karmelu i pudingu czekoladowego. Nie to czego sie spodziewalem, ale naszczescie alkohol dobrze ukryty.

chucklemation (625) - Pontiac, Michigan, USA - NOV 19, 2014
Pours a dark brown with a foamy tan head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts, chocolate, and wood. Flavor is similar, with a touch of bourbon. Has a full body and goes down smooth. Excellent imp stout.

Dark, thick pour with a thin tan head. Rich aroma of dark malts, cocoa and licorice. Taste is bold. Smokey, woody and roasty. Thick, oily mouth feel. Probably need to set this aside for a bit. Smooth finish. Really good sipping imperial stout.

neongolden (644) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 16, 2014
(330ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours black with a large, fairly dense lingering pale brown head. Aroma has chocolate malt, moderately roasted, slightly woody, sweet cream hints and a bit of an herbal/fruity overtone to it. On the palate, semisweet dark chocolate and cream, light to moderate roast, hints of fruit and an herbal licorice/root beer quality, not very bitter on the finish for the style but still some roast/hops there, lingering chocolate and herbal flavours. Mouthfull is quite full, oily and slightly creamy with soft carb. Not a mindblowing imperial but a very nicely made one, good change from coffee bombs and smooth but not excessively sweet. Good sipper.
