High and long lasting creamy light brown head. Pitch black body. If you like coffee this is definately a brew for you. The aroma is absolutely of a powerful roasted cofee. Flavor is also of coffee but in addition has creamy and bitterr notes. Low carbonation. Long aftertaste. Alcohol well hidden. Nice balance.

Bottle@home, from WineSpot, Cleveland, USA. Medium/strong slightly bitter but smooth aroma of coffee and licorice. Pitch black color with minimal beige head. Strong bit bitter taste of coffee, licorice and slightly roasted malts. A hint of raisin. Medium balanced. Wide taste spectrum and long aftertaste with roasted malts and licorice. Strong/medium body with medium carbonation. Overall not as smooth as the aroma promised, also the body could be stronger. Other vice nice high quality though ordinary IS.

355ml bottle enjoyed @ home. Pours black with a decentl mocha head. Aroma is heavy roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, liquorice and a hint of dark dried fruits. Flavour is medium to heavy bitter and light sweetness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, average carbonation. Finish is roasted, bitter chocolate and a little vinous as it warms up.

Pours a half finger of tan head on a black body. The aroma is rich chocolate, caramel and milk. The taste is bitter chocolate and coffee to start, mildly sweet middle and finishes bitter with the alcohol heat lingering. An aggressive profile. The texture is thick. It smells great, and the big flavors make this a sipper.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Svart. Høyt pent mokkafarget skum som daler salte. Litt lacing. Herlig aroma av lakris og sherry. Oljeaktig munnfølelse. Smaken sjokolade - men blir for syrlig & tørr. Ettersmak av kaffe.

Black with tan head. Roast, spice, floral, banana bread and red berries. Sweet, dry and chocolate milkshake finish. Overall: The title is poetic, and so is the beer.

Aroma is licorice, roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, sweet malt. Appearance is black, light brown head, poured thick. Taste is roasted malt, licorice, finishes a touch sour for some reason, then coffee and chocolate, smoke. Mouthfeel is medium body, medium carbonation which isn?t that great. Overall, a little disappointing, considering their other stout selection.

Black colour with a dark creamy head. Aroma of roasted malt with some vinous characters with red fruits. Some sour character, chocolate and some alcohol. Taste of roasted malt with much chocolate, some complex vinous tones with a soft finish of berries and vanilla.

Det är nog sympati snarare än besvikelse som känns när något så välgjort och vågat faller på obalanserade smaker. Jag hoppas nånstans att det är mina smaklökar det är fel på den här gången.

Dark black color with medium brown chocolate milk colored head and little oily lacing. Aroma is sharp with deep fruits, rum, raisins, and fudge. Flavor has rich dark chocolate, creamy smooth, cocoa, roasted malts, and a slightly bitter bite. Mouthfeel is a bit oily, with tingling alcohol presence. Very good!
